140069 I pick up a children’s classic I didn’t have time to read when my kids were in school. They will always have a book recommendation for me. It seems to reset my own reading and I’m back on track. Another help for me is to randomly pick a review book I didn’t read and it also brings my NetGalley percentage up. Win/win.

Thanks. That helps a lot. I have several titles by authors on your group bookshelf so am looking forward to discussion. Will probably also start the Mapp and Lucia series and catch up. Thirkell i found on fadedpage.com so can start the series anytime.
Again, thank you for clarification.😊

140069 Hello, I'm Darlene. I live in Nevada. I am a reviewer for NetGalley. At present I attend a true crime book club as well as several Goodreads clubs. I enjoy classic crime mysteries, historical fiction, cookbooks and true crime nonfiction. I collect vintage classic crime novels.
I am interested in discussing authors and books more in coming year.
I make my own reading journals and bullet journal as well.
Looking forward to an amazing 2024 reading year.

140069 Although I'm thoroughly confused by it all, Book Pool sounded good to me so I signed up for that. My home library is a pittance since I sold off my entire collection including shelving thinking we were moving and did not. Yikes!! However between my amazing local city library and what made the cut for my own books, I have enough for more than a year.
Help! So now what do i do? I will start a shelf for some authors and titles on my Goodreads. Do I just comment from time to time? Are there monthly selections?
All messages welcome and friend requests may even be accepted.

140069 This will be my first time diving into the book pool. My selections are:
1. Desert Solitaire/Edward Abbey (1968)
2. All The Little Live Things/Wallace Steiner (1967)
3. Crewe Train/Rose Macauley(1928)
4. Their Eyes Were Watching God/Nora Neale Hurston (1937)
5. Letters Of A Woman Homesteader/Elinore Pruitt Stewart (1913)
I hope I've done this correctly.
I'm reading my own shelves this year and keeping very little. These titles have made it through significant downsizing of my home library and its time to read them
