I hadn’t quite picked up on where the bead lead was going til the end! Beautiful writing on that scenic lake area-as nice as the houseboat was described at the mention of rats I came undone! 😳

Just finished- I had Hugo and possibly his wife, Fudge, pegged as the culprit quite early in-but oh how I didn’t want it to be him- right up until the end I was hoping….
A really enjoyable page turner with an interesting time period and beautiful setting descriptions! A great choice for the group read - and my first Murder In…

I picked up a copy at library yesterday so I am ready to start- haven’t read any of her Murder In… books so am looking forward to this!

I can't believe I have never read this one before! A great choice for December. I was completely off course in fingering the murderer. I was sure it would be one of the family. The ending twist was brilliant! I didn't pick up on Sugden's family resemblance or any of the clues that Poirot deduced. I think this is one of Christie's finest!

Just started today- looks to be an excellent classic Christie!

My library has a copy so I’m delighted to join in!

Great pic! Was just there in May!

I read the Mazo de la Roche Jalna series in my late teens/early 20's and own all the books, love them! I keep meaning to do a complete re-read of them but there are just so many new to me books to read!

A great feel-good story so typical of O. Henry-loved the twist at the end! I had not heard of this story before so was intrigued enough to dust off my Collected Stories of O Henry and read it-thanks for the recommendation!
