I copped a copy of Norman Spinrads' "The Iron Dream", while at the bank-I guest that technically it's an alternate history novel because it works on the premise that following a brief dabbling in radical politics, Adolf Hitler moved to the US, where he became a prime mover in science fiction fandom as well as a noted illustrator and author.
The prose is just fuckin' awfull but I think that 's kind of the point-Spinrad is taking the piss out of a certain aspect of SF, showing up the love of totalitarian imagery that both it and fascism have.
I also got a PK Dick book from somewhat late in his career....I hope it's not weird or anything....

Ian Rankin's 'Rebus' novels continue to rock....''The Kite Runner' was pretty ok....and 'Dracula in London' was scattershot, as short story comps by multiple authors often are...

'USA', by John Dos Passos. If you liked "Ragtime", you'll dig this....

The cheque is in the mail. By "cheque", I mean a bunch of buttons. By 'in the mail', I mean 'stuck underneath the couch'.
