Hey Fran, sorry for the late reply. I just saw your message. It was good. I listened to the audiobook; the narrators are amazing and the book is really very heady and atmospheric, though for me it got a bit underwhelming towards the end. But the rest 95% of the book was AMAZING!

God, I'm so anxious as this would be my first time participating in these runs properly!! I'm so excited!

1. Spells for Forgetting by Adrienne Young
2. The House At The End Of The World by Dean Koontz
(How it relates to Book 1: a protagonist starting over after a tragedy)
3. Leech by Hiron Ennes - currently reading
(How it relates to Book 2: devious alien being possessing human body)
1st Quarter, Run #2:
1. Mother's Who Can't Love by Susan Forward - still reading
2. I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy
(How it relates to Book 1: both are about unloving mothers and both are non-fic)
3. Do Epic Shit by Ankur Warikoo
(How it relates to Book 2: taking control of your life)
4. Get Organized: Do More in Less Time by Ciara Conlon
(How it relates to Book 3: organising and prioritising important tasks in life - though Book 3 was bad, this one is great!)

#1 Spells for Forgetting by Adrienne Young - 4/5
My review for the book can be found here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
#2 I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy - 1/5 which means DNF (the book is very well-written, but it was too triggering for me personally.)
My review for this one can be found here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

My pleasure, Cheryl. And thanks so much for the kind words! I love the graphics that came out this year too!! <3

Thanks a lot! I appreciate it <3

Can't believe my luck :D

In order to begin the new year on the right foot, I thought I'd re-introduce myself (and I would urge all of you, the already active members of RMFAO, especially the moderators, also to do the same so that the newer members would get a chance to know all of us better.)
My name is Heena and I am a writer from India. I live with my husband and 7 rescued cats and I LOVE reading.
I started RMFAO in 2014, almost 9 years ago, in order to share my love for reading with others and, looking back, I feel so grateful to have met such amazing, friendly, knowledgeable and loving bibliophiles! I have made many great friends over these nine years thanks to RMFAO and have read many great books because of the challenges regularly hosted here.
I hope that all of you will find amazing reading recommendations here and form comforting bonds with fellow RMFAO members.

Happy Reading, everyone!

Please read the Rule Update int he description above regarding the last 3 alphabets (X, Y and Z.)
For convenience, I'm adding it here as well:
RULE UPDATE: As the last 3 alphabets 'X', 'Y' and 'Z' are difficult to find in author last names, we have decided to combine them and be counted as ONE. So you can go for either of these 3 alphabets and count them all done. Now, this is not a compulsion, really nothing is in our challenges, so you can do this if you feel the need or else go ahead with having them as separate alphabets if you are able to find the titles with relative ease. However, you want.

Or if we have enough people joining in then we can have a separate thread. I'm okay either way!
What do you guys think, Dagny and Cheryl?
