Happy New Year's Eve, everyone! I have created the group for next year complete with challenge - it's called 2016 Reading Challenge (original I know). Hope everyone had a wonderful year of reading and can't wait to see more from everyone in the New Year!

Awesome to see how many people completed this! My goal was to get halfway through and I'm happy to say I finished 30 books. I'm in the middle of one more and am hoping to finish it before the clock strikes 12 on Thursday! Popsugar has posted their new list so I will be creating a new group shortly - please join me again for the adventure in 2016 :)

I read The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy for this as I never read it in high school!

I read After Image by Kathleen George but was unimpressed :(

I read Justin Cronin's The Passage, thought it was really well written and could probably count for book that scares you or thriller as well!

A nonfiction that scared me was Broken by Shy Keenan. Scary if you consider how cruel people can be to each other... Very well written, I had to put it down a couple times because I couldn't believe how much this woman went through.

I've also decided to read March for my Pulitzer Prize - it's not a genre I usually read but I'm enjoying the language and style.

However if someone wants to read physically in high school I recommend Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson. I enjoyed it in high school, a little dark but has hints of humor and decently written.

I approve of The Glass Castle recommendation - wonderfully told. Also even though I'm not necessarily interested in a category doesn't mean I'm skipping it. It's a great way to broaden horizons!

I'm going to start with the book I started but never finished. I only got about 2 chapters into The Kite Runner about a month ago and then got swamped with work. Time to try again!

Gina I'm also thinking of checking out Amy Poehler's book! Might not be for my first book but top of my list.
