I just finished Red queen a couple days ago and I loved it can't wait for the next book! The idea of what it takes for people to revolutionize the broken system they live in and just how much a society or individual will live with is so close to the climate of what we see everyday. The characters are so amazing and relatable.

Love this book one of my favorite Arabian night type stories love the strong female characters in this second half that don't wait around to be rescued. I love the strong theme of forgiveness and self-forgiveness. The imagery of the two cities and two palaces compared to the rulers spoke volumes and gave such beautiful pictures in my mind.

The rose & the dagger by Renee Ahdieh
I must know the rest of the storie lol and my turn is coming up for a copy from the library yay!

I didn't care for what felt like a rushed ending after so much detail into creating this beautiful imagery but I loved the characters.

From the beginning I love the honesty with her emotions she is cruel but you understand her and how complex her feelings are toward her family there's nothing flat and one dementionel.

I love this group! I play catchup a lot when it takes me a little while to get ahold of a book or personal life doesn't allow much reading time but the books and the conversation are great and I have read book that I nomaly wouldn't have picked and have fallen in love with new authors. Can't ask for more from a great book club!

I'm about half way through, the writing is beautiful and I love the characters but the plot is a little slow at times.

More than a bit behind lol hadn't read the series so rather than skip it read up to winter and am waiting for it to get checked back into library next week. I am really enjoying the books looking forward to winter glad I decided to read them easy reading for all the crazy stop and go of this month but interesting enough that it keeps your attention and you keep coming back to the books every chance you get.

I really liked this book to take all of these old pictures and create all of these characters around them and this whole fantasy world that worked together was amazing to me. I love looking at old photos and wondering about people's lives in other times and countries he did that 10x better and made a fantasy fiction/ Ya adventure trilogy. This is his first book and you can see he is still struggling with flow of the plot in this and the next book but definitely worth the read, looking forward to future books
