Sorry for the delay, 2024 should be there now. Can y'all believe this is the tenth year?!?

Ahh! Thanks for the reminder Linda. I'll add a 2023 tab today.

Update: There's now a 2023 tab!

153782 Just in case any one comes here for a link, I've had to move the spreadsheet. New link is here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...

153782 Hello anyone who happens to be looking here, I've had to change the location of the spreadsheet. Please use this link and change your bookmarks: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...

153782 Sorry y'all, I thought I still got notifications for this group.

The best way to ensure you personally will always be able to edit the spreadsheet is to make your own copy BUT I know a lot of people love the group contributions so I've moved it to an account where I'm not backing up my phone camera 🙃.

We're very far from the limit there so we should not encounter the same problem we have this year but y'all will have to change your bookmarks: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...

153782 I restored from a previous version. Someone anonymous appears to have deleted everything.

I'm not sure if anyone else has the ability to see edit history and restore, but if this happens again (it tends to happen a couple times, presumably from people who don't realize they're on the public copy) feel free to reach out to me to fix it!

Thanks so much for raising the issue this time.

I'll take a look and see if edits need to be reversed.

153782 Stacy wrote: "I am new to this chat and saw that you created a spreadsheet. Where can I find said spreadsheet? Thank you in advance."

Hi Stacy! The link is in the group description but I'll drop it here as well: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...

The spreadsheet is editable by everyone so please only edit your column. (alternately, feel free to make a copy for yourself and edit the personal copy however you want to.)

153782 Shirley wrote: "Thanks for the spreadsheet. I am new to this. Am I able to edit the spreadsheet by adding a column for myself? How does that work?"

Yes, you can create a column for yourself and edit only that column.

Alternately you can create your own copy. If you create your own copy you can edit anything.

Thanks Sam! I'll take a look when I'm on a computer (posting this via mobile). If I haven't fixed it by Friday please ping me!

153782 Spreadsheet now has a 2020 tab: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...

Remember that if you want to edit more than the column with your picks, you should make a copy for your own Google Sheets account and edit the personal copy.

I have linked directions on how to do that in the spreadsheet

It looks like via the spreadsheet that a lot of people are using books Rory read in Gilmore girls. Here's a list of books references, but some of them were only talked about or part of jokes, not actually read: http://goingdownswinging.org.au/rory-...

If you want something shorter, I know Y: The Last Man, Vol. 1: Unmanned showed up in a first season episode of Lost.

If you want something very intellectual, pretentious, What We Owe to Each Other has been featured in The Good Place multiple times.

It sounds like PopSugar released the list last week: https://www.popsugar.com/entertainmen...

I'll edit the spreadsheet this week

Hi Fiona!

One of the links to the spreadsheet is not really working properly. Try this link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...

And if you still can't add yourself, let me know!

Hey Daniela, it seems like one of the links is not the right one. I'll see if I can resolve that today.

EDITED TO ADD:

Wow, I have been looking at/editing the wrong spreadsheet the entire time. All of these comments make so much more sense now.

Serves me right for trying to work on things from my mobile phone.

Using the link Meg provided or the one in the group description should take you to the right place.

Hi Sam, time zone for the spreadsheet shouldn't matter, as it's hosted on Google Sheets and isn't tied to times. Is there a way for you to share a screenshot of what you're seeing with me? LMK if you need an email or other way to contact me for that.

ALL It looks like we may have had people editing over each other again. I can't examine in detail until 1:00 UTC January 3rd, so I would recommend not adding anything on the live copy until then as I will probably have to roll back your changes. I will do my best to preserve things but, no promises, k?

IF YOU ARE USING A LOCAL COPY - do whatever you want.

IF YOU ARE NOT USING A LOCAL COPY - please remember to be respectful of all spreadsheet users, and NEVER edit something you did not add to the sheet yourself. If this means you're in column ZZZ, it means you're in column ZZZ. If you want to be in column D and it's taken? CREATE A LOCAL COPY.

153782 Kelly wrote: "So for the "Your favorite prompt from a past POPSUGAR Reading Challenge"... where can we find those lists? This will be my first reading challenge. TIA!"

Hi Kelly, if you haven't found the spreadsheet this group makes available yet, there are several years of previous challenges in tabs there. Otherwise I think the original PopSugar post with the 2019 list has links.

Everyone, 2019 has been added to the spreadsheet. Feel free to add yourself and add any edits you would like to your column, but if you want to change anything you didn't add yourself, you've got to make a copy and edit your own copy.
