"No, it's your talent. That is odd though. I wonder what the others will think of her." I sat down on the ground, careful not to go too fast and jarr her neck. Her eyes opened and glanced around. I studied her face, waiting for the terror to show.

"I think I should go prepare them.". I looked at Drew who had movedin front of me. He squated to my level, pecked me on my lips, and took off before I could object.

Sephardi laughed, my face probably had a look of surprise and annoyance. "well I guess it's just us for a moment."

Of course. That's why people keep repeating it.

We stopped a few hundred feet of the house, unsure of what our next move would be. I felt the child stir in my arms. She was trying to hold still, but she fidgeted like any human. My vampire sense could easily detect the movement. "Hey guys, she's awake." I whispered so low she would hear nothing.
