162138 Excellent. I've read Byron Katie before. This, to me, seems like a natural, effective path—recognizing the falsehood of the "self"—the reality that the "person" reading this now and saying these words in "my" head is not the real me. And then once realized, letting those thoughts (born of the "self") drift away, apart from the reality of the real "me," residing, watching in the present moment. These are of course my words and not Katie's, but thanks…Great suggestions.

Hey David,

Congrats. To have recognized and then relinquished such a powerful negative pattern is a huge triumph. I'm not familiar with Gary Weber's method(s). What does he say?

162138 Hey everyone. This group, I think, has a lot of potential. I'm happy I discovered it. I'm Will, living in Colorado, USA.

Non-duality. It's a great term. On the surface it looks like it implies something heady and complex, something philosophical; but I think what it arrives at is the ultimate in simplicity. The mental space above judgment and distinction. The place above words. The place above thought. The Tao, if you will, as described in the Tao Te Ching:

The tao that can be told is not the eternal Tao
The name that can be named
is not the eternal Name.
The unnamable is the eternally real.

Wordless, pure; consciousness before differentiation.

I'm looking forward to future discussions!
