162453 BTW: I have 3 children, not 4. (:

162453 This was a blast! Thanks! Unfortunately, I have to go now too, so I can't attend the other fun stuff you have planned for today...

162453 Actually, the lie is only one word in #1! Excellent guess!

...can you guess which word?

162453 (Same applies: Don't enter me to win)

1) I have four children, spaced deliberately between 2.5 and 3.5 years apart.
2) My eyes are sometimes green one minute, blue the next, and grey the following minute.
3) I can be anyone or do anything, at at least an intermediate and convincing level, given an hour or two and sufficient source material.

The lie in there was the hardest part!

162453 (Don't enter me to win please, as I already own it)

Efficiency. I optimized everything I did, in every aspect of my life. I got mocked, harassed, and taken advantage of (read: butt of practical jokes, very definitely at my expense) a lot by other kids because I didn't walk the way they did, or got all sorts of weird ideas about me because I did things differently. It took years, but by the time I hit 20 or so I was able to fake normal with fair accuracy. Of course, due to this efficiency instinct, by the time I was 25 I was making 6 figures, so it definitely has its benefits. Plus, the mocking, humiliation, and embarrassment drove me to figure out human nature, and now I understand others far better than they often understand themselves. So, double bonus, for a hard and lonely childhood.

162453 There we go.

162453 BTW: I've purchased both the book and The Binding of the Wolf, because I can spare the money and I like supporting authors whose works I enjoy and want to see more of. (:

162453 Your link isn't working again...

162453 Oh, and I'm sitting in my van (2014 Dodge Caravan, white) with the doors and windows open, and a decent breeze blowing through. My son's dog is sitting next to me, watching and smelling the wildlife. She looks and acts like a Basenji, but genetically she's a mutt. Which is good, because it's healthier that way. ANYWAY, I'm on a laptop, tethered through my phone's data service, while my phone draws power from my laptop, which is drawing power from an inverter plugged into the van...because I'm dressed in Elizabethan-ish clothing my wife put together for me, at an event - Ragnarok (put together by the Empire of Medieval Pursuits, and this year it's at a site near Washington's border with Canada).

Probably far more info than you were interested in. (:

162453 Hi, I'm Jesse, and I'm here because I read book 1. I'm currently reading book 2, since it was delivered to my Paperwhite a little bit ago. Also, the "here" link above for the newsletter isn't a link for me...?
162453 *is currently reading The Light Who Binds on his Paperwhite*

Hi Wendy. It definitely will not be on Audio at the same time. :( I'm afraid my confid..."

That is so freakishly weird. Why would they put that clause in there without the ability to easily and inexpensively update it?

Not true! Most of the time is actually taken up by the mind's massaging and molding the ideas into a coherent form. Physical speed can't help with that.
