For fantasy I'll nominate
The Rise of Renegade X by
Chelsea M. Campbell. It's a young adult superhero novel that I've found to be quite good, that I think deserves to be more well-known. It's kind of on the fence between sci-fi and fantasy but it is shelved as fantasy more so that's what I'll go with.
And for sci-fi I will nominate
A Darkling Sea by
James L. Cambias. This is one of my favorite books. Some really original ideas

For fantasy I will nominate
Cinder by
Marissa Meyer. It is YA but in my mind it kicks off a great fairy tale retelling series. It's really a science fantasy but it has more fantasy shelvings so that's what I'll go with.
And for sf I'll nominate
City of Pearl by
Karen Traviss. I love this book and Traviss is an author I wish was more well known.

for sf I'll throw in
Stealing Light by
Gary Gibson. Great start to an underappreciated space opera trilogy.

For SF I'd like to nominate
Stealing Light by
Gary Gibson. Pretty entertaining space opera.
And for fantasy I'll nominate
Child of Fire by
Harry Connolly

For fantasy I'll nominate
Sasha by
Joel Shepherd.
And for scifi I'll nominate
The Darwin Elevator by
Jason M. Hough.

I'm currently reading
Carrie which is my first
Stephen King novel. Really like it so far. Next up is
The Hobbit.

Have yet to read any Gaiman. This might be when I start.

Read this last year and loved it. One of my all-time favorites.

Recently started
Overdraft: The Orion Offensive. So far a pretty solid sci-fi adventure.

I'm reading
Empire of Light, the last book in the Shoal trilogy. Great so far, my favorite in the series.

I read this in November and its one of my favorites. I didn't guess Steelheart's weakness but I did figure out the professor was an epic and that Meagan was more than meets the eye. the universe Sanderson created is awesome. I could picture the setting so well. Looking forward to Firefight

This was my first Sanderson and I absolutely loved it. Felt main character's voice was executed perfectly. I'm now starting to read his other works.

For fantasy I'll renominate
Tooth and Claw by
Jo Walton.
And for sf I'll nominate
Stealing Light by
Gary Gibson. An under appreciated space opera.

I'm really excited to read this one. will start as soon as my copy's available from the library.

Just finished this and I loved it. one of my all-time favorites. It has a great what-if scenario and is very well-written. The descriptions of the setting and changes made to reality were my favorite parts. They were so vivid and easy to imagine.

For sf I'll re-nominate
Gridlinked by
Neal Asher.
For fantasy I'll nominate
Tooth and Claw by
Jo Walton.

A few chapters in and really enjoying it. Looks like it could go down as one of my favorites.

I'm currently reading
Dust by
Hugh Howey. Other books I plan on reading this month are
The Lathe of Heaven,
Control, and
We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves.
