167330 Hi, Brooklyn! I'm sorry it's taken me so long to respond to this. Life has been rather hectic the last couple of weeks.

It's Jonesy. :) Thanks for asking...have a great week!

167330 Thanks, Molly! I do a fair bit of research. Anything in business or the tech industry is Mr. C's responsibility. For Simone's character I interviewed a woman who worked at a lingerie boutique in New Orleans while attending RT last year, and did more research online. There's enough of the academic left in me to appreciate research; it's my favorite way to procrastinate!

Hi, Jennifer!

The books are very loosely linked and can absolutely be read alone. The link is the lingerie shop/owner, Simone Demarchelier, featured in EVENING STORM. Tilda and Daniel from THE LIST appear in EVENING STORM, but I'd characterize the books as linked in the way the fabulous Megan Hart links her books (same setting, occasional appearances).

(FWIW, AFTERNOON DELIGHT's hero, Tim Cannon, first appeared in an earlier novella, BREATH ON EMBERS.)

167330 Here's the back cover copy:

When it comes to the wolves of Wall Street, Ryan Hamilton is the leader of the pack. But his bravado is all bluff. The bank he works for is up to it’s assets in fraud and shady deals. And thanks to pressure from the NYPD and FBI, Ryan is working as both a trader and a whistleblower. His only respite from the tension is when he parades his latest arm candy at a fancy lingerie shop.

Simone Demarchelier owns Irresistible, crafting custom high-end lingerie. So she’s more than happy that Ryan is spending a fortune on his women. But she senses that behind the hotshot facade there is something more. Something tortured and sad. And when he flies her out to the Hamptons in the shadow of a summer thunderstorm in order to fix one of her designs, she instead finds herself stuck in the opulent home with a distraught Ryan.

Is Simone the one person who can mend Ryan’s heart and soul?

I'm looking forward to answering questions about EVENING STORM, anything else I've written, or what I'm working on now!

167330 Hmmm...that bio could use some additional info! I've also got a dog, our sweet Kate, my writing buddy and a good listener when I've got plot or character questions. I'd love to have a cat, but Mr. C and the Boy are both allergic. :(

Any animal lovers out there? Cats, dogs, birds, guinea pigs?
