168279 It's a little late, I know, but I want to share this with you guys:

1. "The king is a stranger to you! Catelyn remembered the direwolf dead in the snow, the broken antler lodged deep in the throat" Why Catelyn remembered that?

2. "My father went south once, to answer the summons of a king. He never came home again" *SPOILERS FROM A GAME OF THRONES, BOOK 1* (view spoiler)

3. Jon's mother could be Ashara Dayne.

4. The first quote: "Never ask me about Jon. He is my blood, and that is all you need to know". And the second one: "Whoever Jon's mother had been, Ned must have loved her fiercely, for nothing Catelyn said would persuade him to send the boy away" *SPOILERS FROM SPECULATIONS* (view spoiler)

5. "Summer will end soon enough, and childhood as well. When the time comes, I will tell him myself" This particular quote is pretty interesting, I don't know what it means but I think is significant.

168279 Here's what I found in the chapter:

1. Arya thought she was a bastard for her similarities to Jon.

2. The prince Joffrey seems to be violent.

3. This particular quote: "The longer you hide, the sterner the penance. You'll be sewing all through winter. When the spring that comes, they will find your body with a needle still locked tight between your frozen fingers". *SPOILERS FROM A GAME OF THRONES, BOOK 1* (view spoiler)

168279 This chapter was very pleasant to me.
First of all, Jon is my favorite character of all the books i've read, and return to his origin is just wonderful.
Here's what I found:

1. I want to mention that always the Jon's chapters seems very sad to me, maybe is for his personality.

2. Like Clara said, how he saw Jaime Lannister: "This is what a kind should look like". I didn't remember that thing.

3. The chat between Jon and Benjen is beautiful but in the same way, pretty hard. Benjen offered Jon the posibility to go to The Wall and Jon showed his approval.

4. The chat between Jon and Tyrion was just epic and perfect. The lessons Tyrion gave to him are very important *SPOILERS FROM A SONG OF ICE AND FIRE* (view spoiler)

5. Like I said in the previous chapter, the end was beautiful and very important, in my opinion.

And I agree with Vicki in her point 14.

168279 Here's what I found in the chapter:

1. The bad relationship between Robert and Cersei.

2. "The winters are hard. But the Starks will endure. We always have" *SPOILER FROM A DANCE WITH DRAGONS, BOOK 5* (view spoiler)

3. Eddard's promise to Lyanna . Lyanna says "Promise me" and I think this is an important thing and it goes beyond that being buried alongside her father and brother.

4. Robert says "I vowed to kill Rhaegar for what he did to her". What did Rhaegar to her? That is the question.

5. The wonderful end of the chapter. I mean, these words are just perfect and I think there was a sign inside them.

168279 I didn't remember that Illyrio worshiped the Lord of Light. That's the good thing about rereading a book.

Daenerys is my least favorite character. She annoyed me most of the time, but i don't blame her, because I think her childhood was hard and sad and his big brother, Viserys didn't help much with that. But is good to be back to her origin (in the book, I mean) and learn things about her ancestors.
This Daenerys is shy and bullied by his brother, who in this chapter it seems very intimidating. Viserys is a character that interested me from the beginning, and in this chapter, he's rude *SPOILERS FROM A GAME OF THRONES, BOOK 1* (view spoiler) And maybe he thinks the best way to regain his throne will be showing he has power over others.

Not yet. But I really want to!

168279 I'm reading the companion book "The world of ice and fire". It's like a kind of encyclopedia. So far, I'm reading the history of the Targaryens.

It's quite slow but pretty interesting.

Agreed. I think in the first two books we didn't see him for himself, but by the other characters. In the last three books, was very interesting see his thoughts and actions by himself.

P.S.: I forgot to mention Sam. I really like him and his love for books.

168279 Hi! I'm Antonella from Argentina.
I started to reread the series a month ago, and I noticed many things that I didn't before.
My favorite character is Jon! But I like Tyrion and Theon too (I'm the only one who loves Theon?).

(Al igual que Gime, perdón por el inglés).
