Before this year's challenge, I had never read an Agatha Christie story. I've seen movies and plays, but never read a book. Now I'm inspired. I have done 7 of the books so far, and will hopefully complete a couple more before the end of the year. I've already read the first two of next year's author (N. Marsh), so should be able to finish off the Miss Marples. One day, I will get to the Peroit series.

I listened to the audiobook on this. Well done. While none of the short stories was outstanding, I thought all the stories were GOOD, so gave it 4 stars. Something I will likely listen to again in the future.
Susan, you are much like my late sister and Mom. For some reason, they just don't get into short stories. My other sister and I enjoy often reading short stories - when everything is really busy, I can still read/hear ONE story. In fact, one of my personal challenges for 2018 is to read a short story a day.

I really enjoyed this book, but feel that there were not quite enough clues to lead to the killer. BUT, I do appreciate that she focused on the good looking-get along with others person as a killer since alas, that is often the case of swindlers and even serial killers. That's how they easily get victims.

I'm really enjoying the Agatha Christie ones as well Jessica. Still going through Miss Marple though. I already have ripped-from-CD copies of the Ngiao Marsh collection, but I wanted to point out that Audible does have the entire unabridged collection now. Looks like they arranged for several of the titles to be redone. I may get several of those since a few of mine may be abridged.
I've only ever listened to the first two, so this will give me a chance for a relisten and to work through the rest of the collection. Most of the books are between 5-6.5 hours, so they aren't time consuming.

Well, I'm up to 5 now. Currently listening to
4:50 to Paddington. I'm already tired of hearing the name of Mrs. McGilicutty, but at least you don't lose track of the character. I have
Final Cases but was having trouble getting it to load on my ipod, so will listen to that next.

I know I'm behind everybody else, but I loved this story. I completely guessed wrong as to who the murderer was. Yep, clever woman to acknowledge that the handsome and charming among us can also be the most criminal.

I was going to listen to the audiobook on this and delay and delay, so read it instead. Quite enjoyable. I like how even Carrie Louise was portrayed quite differently at the end.

I really enjoyed this book! It was a rather meandering story which is how many of us live our lives when we get older (ok, I do).

As an FYI, "Death of a Peer" has the alternate title of "Surfeit of Lampreys". (available at both Audible and Amazon with the 2nd title).

I started this a couple of days ago and am about 1/3 of the way through. There's a lot of detail that I forget what is going on, so definitely not an audiobook I can listen to while doing other things on the computer. So, I'm going to get started on a sock so I can knit and listen at the same time.

The Circular Staircase is free as an ebook as Amazon. At the time I got the free book in 2013, I was able to get the audiobook as well for $2.99. Just started it and it's quite excellent!

I really put off reading the Miss Marple series, I don't know why. Not sure that I will catch up with you all, but having finished another book this past week, I've read 3 of them so far (I read the Caribbean one a couple years ago).

I enjoyed both the mystery and its precursor novella. It kept my interest which is why I rated it 5. Not often you get a sleuth who is below stairs. I'll have to put other ones on my wishlist!

I enjoyed this book for much the same reasons Gillian stated.
Rosina, I agree that it would have been easy for the author to look up correct styles of address. :(
