173974 I've just started reading Dead Scared by Sharon J. Bolton
173974 I'm reading the second book in the trilogy 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami and I'm also reading Smoke Screen by Jørn Lier Horst and Thomas Enger

I'll do that! I remember watching a T & T - movie, I can't recall what it was about only that I quite liked it due to it's charm.
173974 I'm a true Agatha Christie lover but this is the second book I 've read where she doesn't stick to her traditional murder cases but to foreign affairs and agents and she doesn't do that very convincing at all.
I do like the traditional charm but overall this is one of the lesser good that I've read by her
It was the first Tuppence and Tommy book I've finally read and I won't read another very soon.
It was too easy to solve as well. I thought it was Peel Edgerton from the the beginning - he did visit Mrs Vandemeyer - a short while I thought it was Julius but I went back to Peel Edgerton soon again.

I thought it very unbelievable that Jane Finn put on a show for several years and I didn't find the part where Julius threatened the Russian with a gun very credible - what kind of spy or professional crook would react like that?

Well, I will read the rest some day since I want to read all of her crime novels and I'm sure I got the rest of T & T in my shelves but I will certainly read a Miss Marple or Mr Poirot next time.

(The other book I've read by her that dealt with foreign affairs was "They came to Baghdad. It's not a T & T book. I found it a bit better than this one.)
173974 Hi, I'm in - will start reading it probably next week. 🙂

Unfortunately the books chosen by this group is rarely available in my country and never translated. I found one to download (in English) once and that's all. But I'll cross my fingers and wish that some day I will have the opportunity to read along with you. =)
I'm not complaining though, I'm reading way to many books in the same time anyway! I'm biding my time and meanwhile I just might finally finish my enormous "Currently Reading Stack" =D

Thank you for accepting my nomination, Judy =)

173974 I nominate The Disappearance at Pere-Lachaise: A Victor Legris Mystery by Claude Izner.

The second book (and stand-alone) with the book salesman and private investigator Victor Legris, solving mystical murders in Paris around 1890.

173974 I hadn't heard of it before - it's not translated into my language but I read about it now and it seems interesting. And it's possible to buy it here in Sweden in english so I put it on my waaaay-to-long to-read-list. When I read something heavy I always have a good mystery book to relax with as well. =)

173974 I'm reading The Underground Railroad by Colson Whitehead and I love it. But I need to take time off in between the chapters because it's heavy and breathtaking and overwhelming.
