I also finished my reread a couple of days ago. This is my favourite Miss Marple novel.

I finished the book and enjoyed the read very much. I think it is one of Tey's best.

I do agree with you on finding it difficult to engage with Tey's novels. But I did enjoy
The Franchise Affair.

I just got the book and will be starting soon. Hope I'm not too late for the party. 😀

I did the audio narrated by Jane McDowell. It was good.

This is my very first time reading
Dorothy L. Sayers, and enjoying it so far.

I'm returning to a group read here with this mystery.

I'm listening to Thorpe' audio narration as well. I think most Lorac audios are done by him.

Thanks, Rosina and Sandy!

I voted for The Daughter of Time. The premise intrigues me. I've not read any of the series, and this is the fifth. Is this a series to be read in order?

I'm halfway through, and like everyone, I'm struggling with keeping track of who is who. It's a bit confusing.

I may read this one. I like this series.

I'll join in for the Agatha Christie. I haven't read many mysteries this year.

I've read the first five chapters and am very much enjoying the Vienesse setting. It brought back fond memories from my visits to the city. There is no feeling of mystery yet for me, but I feel the slow descriptive pace comforting for the moment.

Thanks for the article, Judy. I was at first confused with the reference to Viscount. :)

I wonder why some standalone mysteries, when filmed, had to include Miss Marple. I watched
Why didn't they ask Evans? which included Miss Marple. It wasn't bad, but I wasn't too happy with the change her inclusion made.

I also listened to Hugh Fraser's narrative. He does a fantastic job. I agree, Susan, it is quite atmospheric. I could almost feel the storm. :)
And I also think that this is the best of the lot we read this year.

I read it last month and enjoyed it. It was a good standalone mystery.

The final twist gave a new light to the whole story and explained certain things that were puzzling. Peters' errand was sort of a non-developed subplot which is only understood when everything is explained at the end. It was like two stories running parallelly even though you don't see it till the end.
Judy wrote: "Did anyone else wonder at first if Tom was a spy and might turn out to be the love interest for Hilary? I did originally when he whispered to her to play along on their first meeting."I thought so too, Judy. Then when Peters was pushed to the center, I was surprised. But when the whole story came to light in the end, Hilary's and Peter's connection made sense. However, I didn't expect Tom to be a villain.
