173974 I just don’t understand the changes to Poirot’s backstory and the stuff at the boarding house and Japp. In the end Malkovich was the least of its issues.

173974 Ordeal by Innocence was awful. If I’d realized the new ABC Murders was by the same adaptor I wouldn’t have watched it. It was really bad too.

173974 Ahh! I didn’t realize Acorn had commissioned it! I really enjoyed it too.

173974 I wondered how Grantchester would go on without Sidney. That’s too bad about Leonard.

I have Father Brown in my Netflix queue but haven’t watched any yet.

I’ve been enjoying No Offense on Acorn. I don’t think it was adapted from anything? I haven’t watched much mystery stuff lately. There’s new Agatha Raisin to watch but I haven’t gotten to it yet.

173974 Oh I meant to say I'd started the show too! :) I've only watched the first episode so far, and have never read the books, but I'm really liking the show so far. :)

173974 eta: I guess I don't agree specifically, but agree more with your point, lol. :)

173974 I agree Shannon. There are a few authors whose things I love, but they're just so prolific online that now I know so much about them that I don't need to know and it makes me like them a bit less. There are also others that just seem to have their feet in too many things while we're waiting for new books... I don't know. I'd rather not know everything about a person and I'd rather they stick with why we like them.

173974 Oh, and I wish you could edit a post. Heh, as I wish I could edit that post to add it.

173974 I love the app for everything but the spoilers issue. I find it a lot easier to have the simplified feed. I love being able to scan and add books. The book progress area in my currently reading is awesome, and how you can swipe through all your books if you're currently reading multiple things. And they've recently added so you can look at different editions of a book. And in groups I like that there's an option for just unread threads, which isn't on the full site. It's really just the group threads that have issues, and mainly just the spoiler thing. But to each their own of course. :)

173974 Yeah, there's no way to on the phone. I'm going to be going through when I'm on a computer tomorrow and reading through them.

173974 It was! I really enjoyed it. I was sad they only had one episode of it though.

173974 I read this ...last year I think. Having joined this group I will try and read it again. I read it on my phone through Project Gutenberg last time and it was tricky. I'll pick a better way this time. :)

173974 I love the Miss Fisher's show. I read the first book after having seen some of the show, and I enjoyed the show more. I haven't enjoyed the newer seasons quite as much as the first though, but still enjoy it. (Plus those costumes and settings and everything are amazing!)

I love Poirot and Miss Marple. I've only seen Joan Hickson, Geraldine McEwan and Julia McKenzie, but have enjoyed them all in different ways. :) For me, David Suchet is the only Poirot ( ;) ), and I love him; I know not everyone does though. I haven't seen and Tommy and Tuppence (except the one Miss Marple they were in that I don't remember if it's originally a Marple or a T&T book); I haven't read any of the T&T books either. I really like a lot of Christie's stand-alone/not Marple or Poirot books, and I wish more of those were made into shows or movies.

I also really love Murdoch Mysteries. I've seen both the show and the three tv movies that were made previously. I prefer the show to the movies. Peter Outerbridge just didn't have it for me like Yannick Bisson does, but that could be because I'm much more familiar with Bisson. I haven't read any of the Murdoch books though.

I've seen some Campion when it was on Netflix. And the one Mrs. Bradley they had.

I'll watch pretty much any mystery show, at least at first. :)
