I totally agree about Ms. Marvel and Awkward. I also first got into comics and graphic novels by participating in the first Hub Challenge, and now I love them and am way better about finding ones I'll like and recommending them to readers. Still can't personally get into manga, though.

This is really interesting - and really different from a lot of YA. I'm excited to read it. The comments from teens at the BFYA feedback session were so enthusiastic about this title.

I've only read Symphony for the Dead. It was great, but perhaps overly long.

I love the Alex Awards for this reason - I always discover adult books that don't get as much attention and are great to read and recommend to the right reader. I'm just starting Bones & All this weekend - it's a weird premise, for sure!
