I didn't add it because I'm not sure, could be a mix between romance and historical,but its not historically accurate so I don't know if it will fit that gender

The book is about a princess who is kidnapped when she is a baby. The kidnapper raise her and tell her the thrut when she turns 18. They comeback to her kingdom and she is attenden by the royal guard, but he doesn`t believes her because the nurse that should have been babysitting her that night said she changed the baby for her own daughter and the kidnapper take her child insted of the princess. The king keep that baby in secret until she die when she was seven,

The guard tell the story to the girl and they both think is true (she even visit her supposed mother). They fall in love until the king meet the girl and realize she looks exactly like the dead queen, her mother, and the truht come out: she is the real princess.

But now she can´t be with the guard anymore because of her royal status and she is enganged with another royal. I don´t remember how they solve it but at the end she is capable to marry the guard, the man she loves.

The country of the book doesn´t really exist
The family guard have wolfs as pets. He is a royal too but of a low range.

I red it between 2011 and 2013 but it may be older.
