Around 2017-2018

The woman was an accomplice to the murder. She did not shoot the person but she also didn’t report it. She ran away.

I don’t remember who and where her son’s father is.

She since then has ran away from that area to restart her life in a different city where she has a son and works at a courthouse or some legal office. There is a shooting/explosion at the courthouse and one of the perpetrators is one of her old friends involved in the murder of the police officer/military personnel. Later in the book, I can't remember if it's a coworker or a boyfriend, but he starts living with the main character and her son to protect them.
