hi Kris, it is set in the 1800, in the UK, rural and London, I believe it is set around the time of the release of Dawins theory, hence the priest keeping the boys tail a secret.

There is a boy abandoned by his mum and brought up by a priest, the boy had a tail, the priest cut it of and put it in a jar, some slavers brought over some ape like creatures to see if they could breed with humans to make servants, they where kept locked on a ship, hidden away, One of the apes fell in love with a lady, hence the orphan boy?
