If anyone reads this book it would be very interesting to hear what people thought. The ideas in this book are similar to being above or below the line with behavior and catabolic or anabolic energy. The ideas apply to all aspects of your life and not just to work which is the setting the books takes place in.

The second book is Bounce: Mozart, Picasso, Beckham, and the Science of Success. This book definitely has new ideas of how people become extraordinary. And is good news for anyone believing talent is all genetic.

Matt- I look forward to hearing why your selected Robert Gates' new book on leadership. What was paradigm shifting for you?

Hello everyone! Yes the first book is the Challenge is the Way by Ryan Holliday. It is a short book to knock one out that still has the potential to change how you look at life and life's challenges. Feel free to post a comment here on the book. I will leave you with one question that you could answer.
Can you think of a situation where the challenge actually did turn out to be the path forward to too greater things accomplished?
I know for me when I have been challenged at work to justify something, it has led to myself or the team really putting on their A game instead of dialing it in. This led to achievements that would of never happened without the obstacles forcing people to be creative and push themselves.

The first book for book club is short but epitomizes that idea behind the chosen books. The title itself is a different way of looking at life. A newer book by Ryan Holiday that highlights the stoic ideas of finding the path through the challenges in life.
