Godsknife is an apocalyptic battle for godhood in the rift between Iowa and the Abyss. For fans of Stephen King and Neil Gaiman.

As a subscriber to our Goodreads group, you'll likely see all of our sales, but if you miss it, it would be better to have followed the author and book that you want notified about.
As a supporter of Evolved Publishing, there is one monumental gift that you can give us. I'm going to list below all of the BookBub author pages for our team of authors.
After clicking the link to the author's page:
1.) Click on **FOLLOW+**
2) Bookmark as many book titles of theirs as you will. Each one helps!
The way BookBub works is authors submit a request, and BookBub chooses based on factors only they know about. One of these deciding factors may be how many followers an author has. Therefore, the more followers we can get, the more likely we'll be able to get a book chosen to be on their list of deals.

Here are a few snippets from her blog post, Constructing a Solid Story:
I name each major character, list out what that character's goals are, and then I try to see how I can either make it impossible for them to reach their goals while still staying on track for the major plot lines, or I determine how (if the character is lucky) they eventually reach their goals.
To me, this is a bit different from outlining a book. Here, I'm taking it to another level entirely. I'm asking each character to show me what they want to achieve, and then I'm ripping that away from them.
...
Now, not every character will go through tough challenges at the same time. You need to let your readers breathe once in a while. The Soulless King is a good example of a book where the characters' plights will quickly overwhelm the reader if I'm not careful, so I chose a few scenes with care and allowed my characters to have something go right. This gives readers a chance to feel like the world I'm building, though difficult, is still fair. If the world is constantly unfair, then the reader will become depressed or disinterested, because they assume all of the good or interesting characters die or are maimed in some way.

This is a proper epic fantasy. WE are given a great plot, but the most important part is the detail. Like any truly great epic, this book is filled with depth and a detail, to create not only a story, but an entire world. ....
Read her full review here and like it if you agree:

(It's also on Amazon. Good job, Bri! http://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-rev...)

Other than just to make sure that the review is seen, taking this extra step helps in two ways: first, it helps you as a reviewer gain more likes (if people choose to vote that way--we're not trying to rig anything); and secondly, it helps the authors see when a new review is posted so we can like it. When you like a review, it shows up in your feed, and then your friends can see it.
When you post the thread, I'd suggest only copying in a highlight-type portion to attract readers to click the link to the full review, which is where you'd have the option of liking the review, if you did.
You can also make a post about a review online, either at Amazon, Audible, Barnes and Noble, Kobo, etc, including a blog. Voting reviews as helpful on these sites helps the author, and if you see it on a blog, going over to join the discussion is a nice way of thanking the reviewer for taking time to review.
*This is not meant to be a way of arguing on negative reviews. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I'd hate for this portion of our group space to be used as a way to find and argue with people because they came to a different conclusion on a book. Let us, as fans and representatives of Evolved Publishing, go out as respectful and encouraging members of society.
*Another note is let's not barrage with reviews here. One author friend says he likes one review a day on Goodreads. When you post reviews in here, there's the option to include it in your feed. This is good as a way to share with your friends, but too many in a row could lose its appeal. Just use your discretion in frequency.
Thank you for all of your efforts in this.

Here's a little more about IN THE COMPANY OF THE DEAD:
Only a fool crosses a god, but Ellaeva and Lyram will do anything to get what they want.
Chosen as a five-year-old orphan to be the Left Hand of Death, Ellaeva has nothing to call her own—nothing except a desire to avenge her murdered parents. Her duties leave her no time to pursue the man responsible, until both her work and revenge lead to the same place—the lonely castle where Lyram Aharris is serving out his exile for striking his prince.
Lyram is the son of a duke and third in line for the throne. Hell bent on drowning his grief for his murdered wife in a whiskey bottle, Lyram is ill-equipped to deal with the arrival of a mysterious army. When the castle comes under siege, he believes his prince is behind it, only to have his fears dismissed as the paranoia of a grief-stricken drunkard by those closest to him. He dare not even voice aloud his suspicions of the prince’s involvement in his wife’s murder.
Ellaeva’s arrival brings hope, until she reveals she has not come for the siege, but instead she hunts the castle for a hidden necromancer dedicated to the dark god of decay—a necromancer with a personal interest in using Lyram for his own nefarious purposes.
As the siege lengthens, and with the identity of the necromancer unknown, Lyram finds his faith in those closest to him undermined by treachery and sabotage. Not knowing who he can trust, he turns to the one person whose honesty is unimpeachable – the Left Hand of Death herself.
Caught up in their pursuit of vengeance, and desperately trying to save themselves from both political machinations and clashing gods, Ellaeva and Lyram never realise that the greatest threat comes from an unexpected quarter.
