189072 So I was lurking around the groups and saw this was being read a couple days ago. I started reading this a couple weeks ago as I'm trying to tackle more Classic's this year. I just finished it today. It's not a genre/topic I'm too familiar with. In the beginning it was kind of slow, and I was struggling to decide if everyone is too prideful, prejudicial, or just jerks because of the society they're in, lol. Once I focused on reading it as a classic, and not something that I normally gravitate towards, it was easier to get my game face on. I had to re-read several passages because either I lost interest or was confused by the writing. Once I slowed down I started to enjoy the prose. Also I started looking at it through a historical fiction lens (even though when it was written it wasn't historical fiction just fiction in the current time period). Once Elizabeth told-off Lady Catherine I was hyped. It was a slow burn, but worth it. I'm not in any rush to pick up any similar type novels any time soon, but will definitely check out more in the future.

p.s. - Mrs. Bennet was insufferable, lol.
