Ehsan’s comments from the EVERYONE Has Read This but Me - The Catch-Up Book Club group.

I read one hundred years of solitude before and I didn't like it at all but i heard from my friend who also didn't like that book that love in the time of cholera is a good one and when I noticed we are reading it in this group I joinded the reading.

Its my first time to read this book. My main motivation was this group and the idea of being catched up and my other motivation was that i heard about this book a lot.
And as i can see there are its lovers and haters here and that makes me more eager to start it and see how it is.

It was my first time to read this book. I do not like politics and i really try to stay away from it but i loved this book. Before being a metaphor about many leaders and societies in history ( and of course nowadays) it was a firm story with a horrifying atmosphere that became more and more interesting and indeed horrifying. The stepwise process of changing the pigs from “guardians” of freedom and welfare of animals into abusers of power with a true filthy nature ( that reveals with that power ) was astonishing. I really look forward to read his 1984 in close future.

I’ll be joining in and i’ll start it in few days.
Its my first time and its the first book of george orwell that i want to read. I also like to read 1984.I don’t know if it has been read in this group before

Hi Betsy, Actually I almost had watched or read only one of the movie/book combos that i know of, but i love both Hercule Poirot's series and books with fabulous play of David Suchet
