I've just been looking at Brazilian comics, and I want to expand into comics from African creators. Very interested in what you've done!

I read a lot of First Seconds Books, love Emily Carroll, Tillie Walden and general fantasy. My fav book mu..."
Are you selling, and are they in/going to be in English?
I'm looking into comics from Norway as well as the rest of Europe right now.

My mom's French so I'm more familiar with the French graphic novels, love Jodorowsy in particular, but I'm less familiar with other countries, like Spanish or Nordic graphic novels, so I may end up focusing on French graphic novels and carrying some titles in French.
Thanks in advance for reading.

I liked it, far more than Suicide squad: blaze and I have it in English so I can open those up if I need a translation. Too late anyway, picked it up and I’m happy with it!

There's no reason to feel bad about it. They were a product ..."
I just finished Spawn Origins 1-20 via Humble Bundle and 21-24 via Hoopla, gotta catch up to the issue 202 I got in the latest Image bundle. True, I noticed the price hadn't gone up when I subscribed to new issues, I'm loving it right now.
And yeah, I just... I don't really like comparing, or more accurately complaining, because products of their time, and even out of Marvel/DC - like in newer companies, I wouldn't have the new stuff I like more without the older stuff. Anyway, heartening to know I'm not the only one!

"Even reading something from the 80's and 90's can be a chore to get through and that's when I started reading comics regularly back in the mid-80's"
I feel like such a bad comic fan sometimes for thinking this, but I do enjoy the streamlined stories more in general.
Sometimes the wordier stories are, in fact, necessary imo, but often times they're bloated, especially when they were just starting out. Growing pains, though, and I do enjoy the modern comics so much.
I'm currently still reading Spawn and I'm seeing how the exposition slowly dies down and I've got to admit, I'm enjoying that. Luckily, there was enough in Spawn to keep me going, despite the unnecessary exposition that McFarlane relied on a lot - so much - at the beginning, but again, growing pains and it turns out enough people enjoyed Spawn enough to keep it going all these years despite that, so luckily I have the run to read through where it gets better on that side.

I do. I got the youngest glitter to put in watercolors and he’s mad I forgot it when I went to our therapist. (She dies art therapy, too, so we paint at our sessions.)

Feel free to check out my comic book shelf (and ask..."
I have trouble on Discord, so no?
I just don't check it a lot. Makes sense: since I only ever visit France, I don't have a local shop - and I haven't been there in a while - but I do love FNAC for French novels as well as comics.
I'll check out the comic book shelf and those books you mentioned, I'm just busy tomorrow. I'm going to the store to pick up new books, but also the yarn store where I have, regrettably befriended every single employee and they have such good yarn and now I want it all... lol, it was a mistake but the best mistake I've made so far.

Fair. I also love horror, and romance now I guess? As well as, obviously superhero stuff. So gonna check out your reviews now.
Thanks so much: I’ll check out the website and friend you, if that’s okay: looks like your feed will be recs/learning what to avoid for us.
ETA: J’adore Marseilles, Mai’s ma mere est du Grenoble et j’connait Grenoble plus bein. Excuse the errors: writing in French is my weakest point! Do you shop at Fnac? I miss Fnac, and one cashier was being kinda snotty to me one time there because of my accent until she had to age check something and I pulled my French passport and she lit up like I knew her, and I felt more French then than before or since 😂

Oh, snap, I keep almost picking up Goldorak in Canada, and I just wasn't sure if it was good or not. I didn't watch the anime, so I'd have no nostalgia factor, but was it solid enough for someone who didn't, or would I be able to understand it? I'll probably be by Imaginaire next month and I'm looking to pick up some more: I have a bunch of Batman, some Marvel and a lot of original French stuff from my previous trips.
My mom's French, so I learned French and English as a kid, I can read it just fine, I just am not sure what's good sometimes?
ETA: I do like robots and mechas, and I'm always looking for suggestions of original French BDs, so anything is welcome.

New 2000 AD Humble Bundle dropped: I'm not getting it, but I've been disappointed with some 2000 AD stuff, but I figure someone else might be into it. The charity is a cancer charity, though, so very good cause!

I've always loved comic books as far as I can remember. Growing up, I read mostly franco-belgian ones as it's what was mostly available to me..."
Excited to see what you're reading, Emma. My mom's French and whenever I have a chance to get to Canada, I end up picking up French comics - or Marvel/DC stuff translated into French.
I adore both American comics and French BDs.

Bitter Root, Vol. 1: Family Business ★★★
It's not doing anything new, but I'm enjoying it. Black family of monster hunters ..."
I own ice cream man and want to get to it soon.

I'm too addicted to Irredeemable to do anything until I finish that, though.
