Well, you know how I feel about the book. It's the best I have read in a long, long time. I didn't want it to end!
I loved the relationships between the main characters. It was difficult to keep the story straight, as I was listening to it at the same time that I was watching it on TV. As usual with books that become movies, etc., this book far outshines the TV series, however, on the TV series you got to see the handsome leading men. That makes up for the difference!

196341 I couldn’t make up my mind which book I wanted to read, so I’m reading A Reliable Wife and listening to Mr. Murder. I just got through reading the first 30 pages of A Reliable Wife, in which there is no dialogue. I’m used to having the event, or action within the first 3 -5 pages. The author has decided to introduce the characters in specific detail. As I said, I’m not used to it. I was tempted to put it down after the first chapter, but as I wouldn’t want any of my future readers to give up on me that early in the book, so too I’ve decided to push on.

196341 Have you finish The Alienist yet? The book was so much different than the program. I loved both and hope that they make a series of it!

196341 I hit a block in my writing, so I have almost completed The Alienist. Only a couple of chapters to go. I am going to have to read a book in between The Alienist and the book of the month. Anyone have a shortish book for me? I love mysteries and hate romance.

I figured that, since I am almost through with the audio, I will find another suggestion for me to read this month, but I am thoroughly enjoying this story and I want to make sure that others know about it.

In my opinion, it is. It’s really very enjoyable. Anna Blanc is a young woman working in the police force when all women were supposed to do is get married and have babies. Anna is spunky and, what we would call in this day and age, a feminist. Very witty.
