Yes. Being polite goes a long way!

Love this. I began as a blogger and I cannot stress how important it is to use the blogger's name and make sure the book is a genre they want to read. Another thing...blogger's emails are usually crazy. If you don't get a response, follow their page on Facebook or Twitter and consider interacting with them there (bloggers love it when people like and share their posts!) and message them to let them know you sent in a request. If an author takes the time to follow my blog page and interact on a few of my posts, they become more than just another author sending in a request. They stand out. Chances are, it will get their book reviewed faster because they took the time to interact with me in a more personal manner. Not all bloggers think like me, but it certainly couldn't hurt your efforts! Great advice Dennis!

I believe I changed the setting correctly and you can now add your own books. If you have any problems, let me know. I will make sure everyone above this message is added :)

You are all amazing and so much appreciated. I'm so grateful for your feedback and support!

Hi Denise, I believe I saved your books to the shelf. Please feel free to add to the list. I will be sharing this with others :)

It has been brought to my attention that at least one member of our group was upset because of the impersonal direct messages I sent out to all members. Those messages contained what I felt were important updates. I know that three were sent out since May 1. It was easier for me to send these messages as a "blast" to all members and I never considered that their impersonal nature might be offensive to some. I do understand those frustrations and I never meant to upset anyone. Please accept my most sincere apologies if that happened. I thought, if one person was upset by my actions, there may be others that have not spoken up, so I wanted to post my apology here for anyone else that may be unhappy or hurt by my actions. Please know that I do not plan on blasting messages to the group at an annoying rate and if there is ever anything that I or any moderator can do to make this group a better place for authors or readers, please do not hesitate to reach out and discuss it with us. All of the moderators in this group have the best intentions and we are always open to hearing other ideas and thoughts, either on the threads or privately. We want our groups to be a place where all writers (and readers) are comfortable and free to read posts, participate in discussions, and share ideas. As always, wishing you all the very best.

We are looking to create a marketplace for authors where they can find editors, cover designers, beta readers, and more. If you have a service that you would like listed in the marketplace, please message me or use the contact form on the website.

Jessica, great information! I tell all my clients if they go with a bad cover, they can't expect to do well unless they are well known. With so many books out there, I'm going to judge a book based on the cover. Then I read the blurb. If the cover isnt good, I'm going to believe the author didnt put enough effort into editing and formatting. These books are important. Dress it up and make a good first impression.

Just ordered on Carole's recommendation. Can't wait to read it!

I love the Oxford comma and refuse to drop it.
See that line between the previous comment and the comment box? "You are following this discussion " You can change how often you get notifications about any post. The ones you don't want to follow, you can switch them off. The others, you can adjust and get a digest or email. Hope that helps!
