207632 A unique backdrop with engaging characters and storylines.
Fast paced, well written and emotional love story.
207632 A captivating historical mystery, it was hard to put it down.

207632 A quick read, only 200 pages or so. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy this book as much as I was hoping to — vague on the plot, somewhat lacking … abrupt ending … I struggled to connect; it needed a bit more elaboration.

207632 Page turner, the last few chapters were well executed with mystery ending. 3.5 stars round down.

207632 Hmm … there were no twists, no tricks, this is not a thriller!
I fear Freida McFadden is off my radar going forward.

207632 Original, thoughtful, a bit hard to follow at the beginning but then once the premises were determined, I couldn’t put it down even when it made me sad …

5 stars, recommended read

PS - In Chinese culture, names are believed to carry significance and influence a person's life. Some believe that a name can be changed to improve a person's fortune or destiny, potentially by introducing a new element or changing a character to one with a different meaning.

207632 Emotional and haunting; excellent writing.

This one moved at a slower pace, which sometimes makes it hard for me to stay invested, but the deliberate unraveling of secrets kept me engaged. Love the fierce bonding between the family.

Solid 4. Recommend read

207632 Seriously not sure what I was thinking when I picked up this book! Adding a non-fiction to my 2025 reading list?

Repetitive, “way too long” with absolutely zero new contribution; the fact that there is an audience for this book scares me … all the examples of a white privileged woman is somehow helpful and relevant how?

The theme of the book is a poem by Cassie Phillips. Mother Theresa also said, “Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God's kindness: kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile.”

207632 A comprehensive research referencing “play based” childhood vs. a “device” based - how the experience impacts the younger generation especially on their mental health and their interaction with society.

By now, most of us are aware of the negative effect of social media if you do not have ‘self control’. We do need to socialize in person via sports, live concert, religious, festival gathering and not only through social media! One must help each other to create a balance.

Great read to help parents these days, a bit repetitive but it is a great reminder how to be mindful, fully present and how to foster a better / “healthier” environment for the next generation.

Honestly it is so much harder to be parents (and managers) these days, but we all must do something to help re-balancing and protecting children/ next generation; social media is becoming another form of “drug” to some. We must act collectively just like no selling cigarettes to underage

207632 The annual rom-com by Emily Henry, 2025 beach read for sure!

Two stories intertwined into one big love story.

The first half was a bit too long, but hold on and let yourself finish the predictable ending. Good for the soul to read a cheesy love story once in a while.

Create your own beautiful life!

207632 Sweet, feel good novel, easy read for travel, holiday. Tag along with Molly’s story!

207632 First 2025 rom-com; it was cute but no real content. I want to love this but there were no twists, no surprises.

207632 A new thriller that just launched… Hmm… I had most of the twists/ lies figured out; simply because it feels like it all the lies have been written by other authors and now they have been consolidated into one book … an easy thriller to binge on a weekend if you are desperate for a page turner … quite a disappointed pick by ‘good morning America’ book club though

207632 Mixed thoughts about this one.
Writing is good but poor plot (thankfully a short book) about people that I don’t have much interest in, with an unsatisfying ending. I found myself repeatedly looking to see how much was left (for a SHORT BOOK - that’s not a good sign lol)

207632 Comforting, easy read, and feel good novel. A great one for holiday/ beach

207632 Good Dirt by Charmaine Wilkerson- i want to like this, great plot but sorry just too long about nothing

207632 Famous last words by Gillian McAllister
It has a promising mystery / thriller plot and potential beginning; however the story started to drag on and became very dull (70%) with unnecessary twists (all predictable) which felts clumsy and the writing wasn’t good either, so I ended up just skimming through to the end. No surprises~
Pretty disappointed.

207632 My first Robert Harris book and my third historical fiction back in January.

I was fascinated by the foundation of the story - all those love letters written by the PM. The story was dragged on a bit too long though.

Solid 4

207632 Another historical fiction LOL

I really enjoyed the setting of The Stolen Queen. The author takes us from the glamour of the MET museum in NYC and its gala (IYKYK) all the way to Egypt. There was a lot of action and suspense, (and love?) which I wasn't expecting, but definitely appreciated.
