I ended up reading
Bitter Greens and
Dragonfly in Amber. I enjoyed both! (Honestly cannot remember who mentioned them but I noticed Bitter Greens popped up a bit in the fairytale post recently.)

I'm just trying to work through some of my (never ending) to-read pile, I ripped through
My American Duchess and struggled with
Year of the Orphan and now I'm going to try and plow through
Dragonfly in Amber, so that'll probably be my entire month

I'll possibly read [book:Girl at War|232099..."it's been like six months since I read the Natural Way of Things and I still catch myself thinking about it. I hope you enjoy it.

I have at least four books lined up for this month. I love this theme.

Could be the translation, too (I imagine you're reading in English?)."It could be. I just feel like there's a lot of unnecessary words but that's sort of the style of the era I guess. I had the same problem with Pride and Prejudice so i think it's just me not being smart enough tbh.

why? is it boring? I was about to pick it up but I don't ..."I'm just struggling to pick up the flow of the writing. But that could just be me.

I decided to go with
The Count of Monte Cristo and I am regretting that decision only fifty pages in. Oop@me

I also ended up reading
NOS4R2... wasn't prepared for the level of creepy tbh.

I just finished
Talking To My Country by Stan Grant. It was a mixture of memoir and essays on the meaning of aboriginality within australia. It was extremely powerful.

I thought this would be a perfect occasion to re-read
Picnic at Hanging Rock but it turns out it the film was never nominated for an oscar. Complete travesty. I've got
Postcards from the Edge as a back up

I just picked up a copy of
The Dry for this month's challenge and realised I have a little theme going on. All the books I've picked so far are by Australian women. Go me.

Adding it to my list!!"I hope you like it! I just found it so powerful. I want to go out and buy everyone a copy.

I just finished
The Hate Race and it was sooooooo good. I recommend it to everyone.

I just finished this. What a wild ride. I'm actually super excited for the tv series now. Though it's changed settings though, hasn't it?

Would
The Hate Race meet the requirements? I've been meaning to read it for awhile but IDK if memoir is non-fiction or not.

OMG, there..."Yeah dude! They're doing 6x60min eps apparently! It's big news locally for me because I live down the road from Hanging Rock.
Make sure to get ahold of a copy of the book with the additional chapter added. It was published after Joan Lindsay died so most of the earlier copies don't have it. :)
