Sara’s comments from the 2022 ONTD Reading Challenge group.

I finished Crazy Rich Asians! Not a fan, characters were so meh.

I finished Hot Blooded for this month and it was so bad, so very very bad.

I picked Alice, I hope that works for the theme.

I read My Best Friends Exorcism, loved it. Legit cried at the end, their friendship was so beautiful and real.

Since it got such great recommendations I'm reading My Best Friend's Exorcism and so far so good!

I finished The Long Call, I really enjoyed it. Just a really nice mystery.

I'm going to be reading The Long Call, which was already next on my list but fits perfectly with the theme. Set in the UK which I have never been to.

I read Kindred, it was not bad I guess I was expecting a little more.

Okay - I put Kindred and Doomsday Book on hold and will decide which to read, they both sound good.

I finished For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Politics and it was such a disappointment. It meanders for topic to topic, there is no flow to the book. From the title I really thought it would be about them passing on the wisdom and lessons they learned from not just working in politics, but changing it. Instead you get whiplash as they try to fit everything possible into a single book, which is a shame as the beginning and the ending are so strong. Those women deserved better than that book.

I wasn't able to find the book that I wanted to read but when I was in the library I spotted For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Politics. It sounded good so I think I am going to read this one instead.

I read The Wedding Date and hated every second of it, even if it was a quick read. I wish I had read something different but can't go back now.

Okay, I'm going out of my comfort zone with romance to read a contemporary romance story and picked The Wedding Date. Its got a cute cover and ridiculous but perhaps palatable plot.

I just finished Pet Sematary! It was pretty good but all the good stuff was crammed into the end so it didn't feel like a well paced novel. Guess I'll have to watch the new movie to see how true they are to the book.

Yay! More reading challenges. I'm going to finally read Pet Sematary for my January book.
