208213 I read Ruby Red by Kerstin Gier for this month. Definitely YA, had some chances to include more history or fantasy than it did. Ended abruptly and has a sequel that I assume I will read out of obligation. Fairly predictable elements but I didn't hate it.
208213 I read Swimming Lessons and it definitely covers the "fuck them both for thinking they could be happy" vibe. Holy shit it was a doozy. I didn't even have the author on my radar and a friend suggested it. She warned me it was depressing but the more I got into it, the more I felt engaged and not depressed. She warned me to keep reading and damn, there's some misery in here. Thankfully the book is engaging and a great read because there's things are rough out there.

I'm thinking I might need a love is lit read just to help me get over this. Or maybe I'll double down and read more Claire Fuller because I liked this so much.
208213 Made it through Little Women this week for the first time. In grade school I had somehow managed to read the British version which is only Part 1 in most versions. So after seeing the 90s movie I realized I may have missed some things. But it took me a few decades to get around to the rest.

Can I just say how well it holds up as a book? I really loved it and now I'm hyped for the productions being made.
