I'm just over 100 pages in and I'm loving that there are so many characters with different nationalities living in Artemis and it's not just full of white people

I’ve just reached page 46 and so far I’m really enjoying it, a lot less science than in The Martian so if you were put off by that you might still enjoy this. The main character Jazz Bashara is kickass and I love her!!

For December we aren't going with a festive book we're going with a Sci-Fi. For the month of December, we will be reading Artemis by Andy Weir. This book is about a city on the moon called Artemis set in 2080, so if that sounds interesting to you, read along with me.

Sadly I haven’t finished it yet, I did make quite a bit of progress and so far I’m enjoying it, going to hopefully get it finished over the next couple days, wish me luck

I’m still trying to figure out my tbr for December but Decembers book of the month will be up in the next couple of days ☺️

Ive been half way though this book for a couple of months now so to motivate me to get it finished, I'm making it Novembers book of the month. I hope you all join me in reading Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo. If you've already read this book let me know what you thought of it.

I finished Carrie last night and I was really happy with how it ended. I gave it 4/5 stars. As a biologist, I really enjoyed the sections of the book that explains how Carries powers had been passed down through generations in the family due to a recessive gene, it gave so much more explanation as to why she has these powers than the films ever gave. After reading Carrie I can't wait to read more Stephen King!

I agree making her less attractive makes it easier to believe that she would be more of an outcast and mean girls in high school would even more unaccepting of her. I like how the book is set out too with carries story and then they article/research about telekinesis and Carrie

I noticed that too in the films she’s fairly attractive tall and slim whereas in the books she’s described as fat and spotty

I’ve just reached page 30 and wow I love Stephen Kings writing. This is seriously pulling me out of my reading slump

So for Octobers book of the month, I've picked Carrie by Stephen King. I love the films the old one and the new one but yet I still haven't read the book. Have you read Carrie if so what did you think? Join me in reading Carrie and post your thoughts and opinions as you read.

Has anyone read Strange the Dreamer this month? let me know what you thought about it.

Well this is awkward but I'm DNFing this book. Honeslty I'm not going to force myself through another 400 pages of overly descriptive writing that completley lacks any world building. I was so intruiged by Lazlo and this unseen city and his connection to it. I was enjoying Lazlos story but the world building is completly lacking and i cant imagine where the conversations and events are taking place. I'm very disapointed becuase i wanted to like this book. I hope you guys enjoy the book more than i did.

Okay so I have a question...
How do you guys pronounce Thyon?
Do you pronounce it like Thee-on or Thi-on or differently?

So as part of my Tome Topple TBR I will be reading Strange the Dreamer by Lani Taylor, I know quite a few other people have chosen this book for their Tome Topple TBR, so I thought it was a great idea to make it book of the month. If youve already read this book let us know what you thought, if your not planning on ever reading this book let us know why, update this feed with yout thoughts whilst reading this book.
Try and keep things spoiler free until the month is over!
Have a great reading month!!

I much preferred that there was a solid friendship built up too instead of instalove. I agree although I could guess how the story was going to end up I couldn't predict how it was going to end up that way.

I was like that last night but I had thirty pages left so I decided to stay up and finish it. The girls in this do feel very real, I can definitely relate to them it's great.

Just finished it and wow I'm so happy with the ending and how everything turned out. Definitely a slow burning kind of romance which I liked nothing that was super cheesy and made me cringe. Great representation. 5/5 stars

I'm on page 276 so close to finishing this and I'm still not sure how this is going to end. This focuses a lot less on romance and more on building friendships and relationships with people which I've really enjoyed so far.

I've just reached page 208 it's such a smooth read and I agree I love their friendship and how they can just talk so openly to each other.
