26962 hi - sticking head above the proverbial here! what is all the fuss about - language changes - most new expressions, words mis-used anythings will die away - those that people like will stay and in a few years time will become part of a vibrant ever changing flexible language - English

Banish? - send into exile? - language is exciting however, if you do not like certain words, use the words you do like. There are many I personal do not like - I make a point of useing the correct one (despite my age I do like many of the new ones) the greatest hi-jack of a word in my memory (forget viral) has been that of 'gay' - at one stroke we lost a pretty word that described a very particular state - made a mockery of much of our great works of literature - there was and is a perfectly good word - how many of you use the word homosexual when talking or writing? words change that's English for you - okay you can shoot me down now!!!

26962 goals for 2011 - um
1) write and publish 3rd of the Sefuty Chronicles (Jack's Tale) by the summer
2) increase blogging
3) start reviewing my favourite books
4) start writing short stories for the next collection poss end of '11
5) reformat second sefuty chronicle and short story collection for e-books
6) for myself only edit and publish childhood memories and write/publish family recepies

of course none of this might happen - goals are flexible and life happens but fingers crossed
