I also got approved and it was sort of a blunder for me. Cause I was like "OH IT DOESN'T RELEASE SOON" (September 4th). And it was a lovely book (The Spaceship Next Door), and so I requested it... Got approved... Subsequently realized that I will have to review it in August. When I am traveling. Which means I need to read it now and schedule it now.

So I have been promising something interesting for a while, and here it is! We've got an ARC bingo. So everything is going to be a lot simpler - no more voting on themes monthly, instead we have this little bingo sheet for the rest of the year and we keep filling it out! I tried to pick topics that would be good for everyone, but if you think something is missing, just reply and we should be able to put it in the new bingo for 2019 :)

You can just share your results with your monthly updates or wherever you want, so you don't need to have your own State of the ARC if you don't want to. And you can already cross something out if you happened to have read it in June :)

Welcome Becca :) unfortunately, the group is sort of on hiatus now because I am just too busy with life T_T but the meme is still going! I'm so glad you're participating this month, I will be dropping by to check it out soon :)

That's such a great idea! Like a bingo :) I think that's a wonderful idea, and would make it more accessible to everyone. I will ponder this and maybe come up with something before the next State of the ARC meme, and then we can announce it :) thank you, Debbie!

time seems to be blitzing through, and we are all kind of meh about participating (me included!) I just don't have the time to facilitate this group as much as I think it might need it. So I was wondering, do you think we should keep doing the monthly nominations? Or maybe settle for something different? Like bi-monthly, or... I don't know, any other ideas? Or maybe just pick categories and we could have checkins how many we read in that category?

Hi Jordanne :) well, you've come to the right place :) that is definitely small! Over here, we are used to lists more like in the tens :D I know I have around 40 unread ones for sure, maybe more. I would have to consult my State of the ARC posts to be able to tell you that :)

Even though we are not very active in the group here, I would like to invite you to join the said meme - because it's a good way to motivate yourself so read and track your goals monthly. The next one is on April 30 :)

Oh yes, definitely count those :) anything with positive emotions and basically a light read. Nothing too draining, too serious. Perhaps a little whimsical. I'm pretty sure romance reads would work for this very well, since a lot of them are aimed exactly at the 'feel good' craver :) cozy mysteries should work too. Other slice of life that don't deal with tough issues. Basically don't read Silvera and you'll be fine xDD

time to nominate April's theme! I looked at last month's poll, and the runner up was feminist/women's, but I guess that doesn't really work for April as much as it did March? If anyone wants to nominate that, that's still fine, go ahead :) I nominate... feel good books! God knows we need a pick-me-up what with this gloomy weather and the winter refusing to leave (not for everyone of you, but as far as I've heard, it's the case in A LOT of regions!)
