28657 I'm not sure what my longest book is for certain, but if we're talking fiction, off the top of my head it may be Anna Karenina (about 900 pages). The biggest book over all, I think, is my Complete Works of William Shakespeare -- I've read it cover to cover numerous times, and it's about 1600 pages. I am a W.S. fanatic, and I read it when I have nothing else to read.

The worst book I have ever read was the graphic novel version of Coraline for my young adult lit. class. While I loved the "story," I found out that I am physically unable to read graphic novels -- TOO MANY PICTURES!!! I even kept falling asleep when reading it; I think it's because I couldn't imagine it in my mind like I usually do (the pictures were already there!)

I have about 15 favorite books, so this next one is difficult... I think I can narrow it down to three: Beloved by Toni Morrison, Wicked by Gregory McGuire and The Awakening by Kate Chopin. Beloved is great because I cry, and cry and cry every time I read it --it moves me like no other book can move me. I love Wicked because I think the retelling of the classic Wizard of Oz story from the point of view of Elphaba (Wicked Witch of the West)is brilliant! Finally, I love The Awakening because I read it in high school, and enjoyed it. I revisited it later in life during my divorce, and it meant so much more to me. Then, I have revisited it since the birth of my first daughter, and it meant even more. It grows with me.
