Review: Kit has changed his ways after being disabled during one of his crew's escapades. Now he runs a coffee shop that ends up being the meeting grounds for not polite society. Percy is in need of someone to take something from his father, so he goes to hire Kit to do the job.

Kit has his own reasons for disliking Percy's father, but he refuses to do job and instead agrees to teach Percy what to do.

The two are attracted to one another and eventually they act on it.

The main thing I liked about this story is the fact that the author doesn't make it seem like it was magically okay for two men to be together during this time. I haven't read many historical MM romances, but the only other person that I can think of who shows this is KC Charles.

I do also love that although them being together is illegal, the people that love and care about them don't bat an eye, and that's how it should be with the people you have in your life.

I was left satisfied with this story but intrigued enough to want to know what is going on with Marian and Rob.

Review: Finally, Clara and Henry's story. I loved that there wasn't any question about if they were going to be together or not, once they both got on the same page. It warmed my heart to know they were in it and knew that they were soulmates, so no stupid relationship conflict.

All of the drama came from outside sources. Henry's dad, who he's been estranged from, still trying to be in his and Sean's lives. Then being arrested for the murder of his lover, which leads the Henry, Clara, and crew on a mission to find out what really happened, causing Henry to have to go to a place he said he'd never willingly venture.

This book brought all of elements of the other books in the series together without taking away from Henry & Clara's story.

Review: As usual there was a lot going on and there was not a dull moment. I couldn't get wrapped up in the romance aspect because it kind of took a back seat to everything else. Plus, Annwyl seriously stole every scene she was in. I found myself wanting more of her than anyone else.

Why do these people seem to underestimate how badass she is. She is the reason that I started this series and getting glimpse of her and Izzy (she's a badass too).

All that being said, there's plenty of action and few very funny moments that made me laugh out loud.

Review: t's been years since I read this and I still feel the same way, except for some reason I understood why Gwen allowed her "relationship" with Hawk to be what it was at first more this time around. Would I do it, hell no. But I get it.

I also think I'm a bit pettier, because I was thinking I would have been acting just like Gwen when Hawk promised to be gentle with her, but when shit hit the fan, he did the opposite. Even when he explained where he was coming from my initial reaction would have been like hers. He should have already shared with her after the other shit she had been through up to that point. That wasn't the first time her life was at risk.

All that said, I still absolutely loved their love. Once they both got out of their way it was really beautiful.

33903 I'll finish my week 9 book before the next call 🤞🏽. I picked a book that I enjoyed in the past, but I keep falling asleep while reading since I haven't had a chance to pick it up until bedtime.

Review: A girl who is used to being invisible now has all eyes on her. Most of the Hawthorne's want her gone, but a few think that Tobias, who loved puzzles, have given them another puzzle to solve in Avery.

I enjoyed this story and could most likely go on enjoying it without the romance subplot. The main thing I wanted to know was why. Why did Tobias choose a girl who didn't know him or his family, and I guessed a part of it, but as the story went on, I didn't guess at all the very first connection.
