I bought a used copy of This Other Eden a long while ago but still haven't got around to reading it."
:)
awesome book, as are the next few in the series. So much dark angst and drama.

Have you read the Eden books by Marilyn Harris? Talk about angst. This Other Eden

The "Sweeping Saga" heading caught my eye and I had to delve deeper.
Sweeping saga for me has always meant a historical romance that takes place over the course of the hero/heroin..."
Angst is always a plus.

Inherit the Sun by Maxwell Grant.

The Killing Anniversary (I have a different cover)
This sounds deliciously awesome, Water of Life

I was the same way.

Covington's a short hop for me, plus I have to go to Costco anyway. Definitely trouble, but I'll let you know what I find.

Thanks Pat. Take a nap now.

With incredibly tiny font :)

Michele's found some interesting stuff as well, but those are in SPOILER LAND.

I think you'll like Guests of the Emperor. That was made into a TV mini series/movie of the week. You might want to hunt that down.
Funny story about the author of Guests, Janice Young Brooks. I like most of her books and have been hunting down her back list out of curiosity (no covers and descriptions. The latest one was In Love's Own Time, which turned out to be a half-sister of Margaret of Anjou. I read about 50 pages and then found the author's website where she lists her books, except for two that she won't name and asks her readers to burn if they ever find one. I'm pretty sure this was one of the two.
I mailed it off to Susan Higginbotham :D
