41756 Good point, yet another thing to think about! What I am currently struggling with is tense. If you write primarily in first tense, does that mean you cannot switch to third tense?

41756 Hi Mary,
I totally agree about reading different authors and genres. I just recently began to expand on my likes and dislikes, and have been pleasantly surprised. I enjoy reading different styles of writing and always glean from it!

41756 Great advice! I want to run out and get that book! I just started reading "Plot & Structure" by James Scott Bell. It is wonderful. I have started to write the sequel to "In His Love," which is my first mystery/suspense novel, and this book really made me stop where I was to go back and implement some crucial changes to both the plot and the structure!

I also loved your blog and became a follower. Thanks for stopping by & giving us great advice!

Hi J.W, what part of Florida are you in? I would be interested in learning more about joining the Writers Association. If you can give me a website I can check out that would be appreciated!

41756 All good advice and great ideas I need to pick up. I used to write everyday in a journal, but recently got out of the habit, but I do think writing everyday is important to keep the creative juices flowing!
