42787 I agree im much better with modern books as well. I struggle with the classics, I've only read a couple and it was back when I was in school.

I love secrets of the immortal nicholas flamel! cant wait to see how that series wraps up. I also really enjoyed hunger games but im still unsure about the ending of the series. But I give props to the author for sticking to her message

42787 I actually do have a favorite book but there are several others that I consider very high on my list. Ender's Game is my absolute favorite, its one that Ive read numerous times (which I don't do hardly ever, mainly because there's so many good books to read and I'm a slow reader)

But as far as to why its my favorite, there was something in the book that resonated with me, I enjoyed it, I couldn't put it down, I thought it was a great story, and it got me back into reading which other than school books at the time I didn't read at all for many many years. (funny enough the book was an assigned reading). So I owe my return to reading in part to Ender's Game, and my love of scifi novels as well. The rest of my return to reading and my love of fantasy and ya (although ender's game is now classified as ya and sci fi) I owe to Harry Potter. But it all started up again with Ender's Game.

42787 I've read Frankenstein I really liked it but its been a while since I've read it. (over 10 years ;) ) Haven't read any of the others but I'm a painfully slow reader so maybe I'll stay out of the classics discussion as that usually is one of the genres I'm not as good with.

42787 Prisoner of Azkaban but order of the phoenix is a close second, it'd be first if Sirius didnt die in it
