42787 If we did two books a month we could do one classic and one modern. If we just went with one we could do a classic one month and the next month do modern.

I do want to join in on the Emma discussion if I finish the book. Procastination is the one thing I excel at. I'm not putting off finishing the book on purpose!

42787 I'm up for any of the ones listed. I'm not a Charles Dickens fan, but I'll read his work if others want to read something for the book club.

Of the ones listed, Little Women is my favorite so I'm up for doing that one the most.

42787 I'm slow on my reading, but if you want to start discussion now that's fine with me.

42787 I will say that I am not going to read His Dark Materials at all. If you do that for a month I'm not joining in. I'm not saying you can't do it, just that when you do, I'll be taking a break from the book club.

42787 I finished Little Women last summer and own a copy of Frankenstien (I was supposed to read it in college, but never did) so if we in some month choose to do that I can and will read it to join in discussion. I previously said I'm game for any Jane Austen novel as I do want to read them and will gladly love an excuse/reason to actually go to the library. I'm up for most classics, except Charles Dickens. I don't think we should stick to just classics, though.

42787 I'm open to any Jane Austen book. I haven't read anything by her, but I've been planning on it.

42787 I like the idea. Maybe we could all list books we would like to read?

42787 Sometimes I say DH is my favorite. Sometimes it is HBP and on rare occasion it is PoA (like I said before). Why HBP? I hate Ron with Lavender, but I love what he learns from the relationship. I am a huge Ron fan and a huge Ron/Hermione shipper. I think Ron is funnier here than in any previous book. The tone of the book feels different from the others as well. I don't think I can explain that part of it well, but I just feel different reading it than I do the others. I dislike Ron and Hermione fighting in this one, but I know how necessary it is for both of them.

42787 Half-Blood Prince, I think. Sometimes I prefer PoA, but I think overall it's HBP.
