439228 I chose for you:

Nine Princes in Amber (The Chronicles of Amber #1) by Roger Zelazny

I still remember reading it in the 70’s for the first time. It is one of the fantasy series that have been too much underrated and read. I especially like these books as they don’t follow the usual patterns in any way, so rather unique
Amber, the one real world, wherein all others, including our own Earth, are but Shadows. Amber burns in Corwin's blood. Exiled on Shadow Earth for centuries, the prince is about to return to Amber to make a mad and desperate rush upon the throne. From Arden to the blood-slippery Stairway into the Sea, the air is electrified with the powers of Eric, Random, Bleys, Caine, and all the princes of Amber whom Corwin must overcome. Yet, his savage path is blocked and guarded by eerie structures beyond imagining; impossible realities forged by demonic assassins and staggering horrors to challenge the might of Corwin's superhuman fury.' to 'Awakening in an Earth hospital unable to remember who he is or where he came from, Corwin is amazed to learn that he is one of the sons of Oberon, King of Amber, and is the rightful successor to the crown in a parallel world

The Many-Coloured Land (Saga of Pliocene Exile, #1) by Julian May
This is a book I read in the ninetees and I reread it sometimes. There is something utterly fascinating about this series. In fact it is on my shelf to reread
When a one-way time tunnel to Earth's distant past, specifically six million B.C., was discovered by folks on the Galactic Milieu, every misfit for light-years around hurried to pass through it. Each sought his own brand of happiness. But none could have guessed what awaited them. Not even in a million years....

Foundation (Foundation #1) by Isaac Asimov

It is one of the books a SF fan should read. Wonderful story. Wonderful characters. And an important message. I have read it at least three times.

For twelve thousand years the Galactic Empire has ruled supreme. Now it is dying. But only Hari Seldon, creator of the revolutionary science of psychohistory, can see into the future -- to a dark age of ignorance, barbarism, and warfare that will last thirty thousand years. To preserve knowledge and save mankind, Seldon gathers the best minds in the Empire -- both scientists and scholars -- and brings them to a bleak planet at the edge of the Galaxy to serve as a beacon of hope for a future generations. He calls his sanctuary the Foundation.

But soon the fledgling Foundation finds itself at the mercy of corrupt warlords rising in the wake of the receding Empire. Mankind's last best hope is faced with an agonizing choice: submit to the barbarians and be overrun -- or fight them and be destroyed

And the last book is a contemporary book

The Silence of the Girls by Pat Barker
In this book, the #metoo of Trojan war, we hear how war is going for the women, esp. those that get enslaved. Together with Circe it belongs to the best that was published in 2018,

I hope you’ll enjoy at least one of them.

I have just ordered myself Good Omens The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch by Terry Pratchett and Interview with the Vampire (The Vampire Chronicles, #1) by Anne Rice . The others ones I have somewhere in my house.

439228 Hi Nikki. Loking forward to this one. As it is the first time, I’ll need to find my way...

I’m open to everything, but once in a while something from my shelves would be great.
I live in Belgium.
One of the things that might make things difficult for me is availability. For the newer books I usually find easily an ebook or audiobook. For the others I am a bit dependent on different resources, but some novels might be not available.
So ideally I’d like at least one option as a classic or widely available book.
