Turned in final edits on A FOOL FOR YOU this weekend, and I already have a release date - May 11th!

I'm really excited about this one. It's the third book in my Icon Men series, right after The First Real Thing and Appearing Nightly . Hookers, drag queens and the men who love them! This book's about Trevor's son Brian, a young goth-rocker who falls hard for a sexy blues guitarist.

Thanks to the amazing Aleksandr Voinov (who will now be known as Greased Lightning!), I managed to get my current ms. edited and sent off to my editor at Ellora's Cave yesterday.

Which means I now have five whole days to finish getting ready for RT! Had a whole afternoon of spa treatments yesterday. Today I get to take my car in for an oil change and all that other fun stuff. And sometime between now and next Tuesday I guess I should pack my damn suitcase.

I know I'll be fine once I get there, but all this planning and list-making and double-checking the planning and list-making is too damn stressful.

Thanks, Aleks. Next time I get stuck, I'll be sure to send you a long whiny email. ;)

Typed "the end" on the new WIP yesterday. Today I don't know what to do with myself!

Maybe I should go take a nap. Or read a book. What a concept! ;)

Up to Chapter Seven today. Things are getting more complicated, just the way I like 'em! ;)

Entangled Trio was an aberration. This book's progressing along my usual slow-but-steady pace. :)

Just hit the 15K mark on the new project, and my heroes finally got down to it. Always seems to take me about that long before anything sexy happens in my books. I like to work up a good head of steam - in a manner of speaking. :)

9K in on this new WIP, and I've hit the inevitable "WTF happens next?" wall. This usually happens to me at least once or twice per project. I find stepping away, even getting out of the house for awhile helps me get back on track.

However, I'm curious - fellow authors, what do YOU do when you get stuck? How do you shake your story loose?

Whatever changes EC (or another publisher) wants, I'll be happy to do. I love The Arrangement, but it is a flawed book. I wouldn't mind revisiting the story with fresher, wiser eyes.

I'm planning to submit it to Ellora's Cave as a reprint. I'm sure they'll want to re-edit it.

This morning I received my reversion of rights letter for my very first book, The Arrangement. It officially goes out of print on May 5th.

I'm of two minds about it. On the one hand, now I can shop it around to other publishers. But on the other... it's still my first book, from my first series. My first baby.

Seeing it drop off the virtual shelves, even if only temporarily, is kinda bittersweet. :-(

I had enough credit card points to cover most of the airfare. That's the only way I could afford to go.
