50920 Hi Courtney!
I have a small-town, enemies-to-lovers contemporary romance in its second round of beta reads, if you are interested. Here's the blurb:

COMPLICATIONS - 85k words

The #1 bestselling romance novelist in the country, Emmy Walker finally realizes her dream of teaching creative writing at the prestigious University of Central Iowa.

Unfortunately, her office neighbor is the snobby Brit Kieran Scott, one of the most revered modern icons of literary fiction. He makes it clear from day one he resents that such a respected university dared to hire a romance writer. To him, relationships only bring about untold complications and inconveniences, and any fiction glorifying couple-hood is silly and daft.

The two authors keep colliding among their tight inner circle of co-workers, and a connection brews that they can’t ignore. Kieran realizes there's more than meets the eye about the romance genre, and Emmy herself. He's never made a relationship work, and she sees heartbreak ahead with this persnickety Brit. But when Emmy's heart is in danger of being stolen by someone else, Kieran may find that loving her isn't complicated at all.

50920 Hi Louise!
I'd be happy to swap MS's, I've been critique partners with a few romance/fantasy authors lately so I've had some recent experience beta-reading the genre.

Here's the blurb for my MS (contemporary romance, explicit sex scenes on the page):

50920 Hi Christina, I'm actually looking for a crit partner to swap critiques, so this is perfect! Sounds like a really great plot and I'd love to trade. Why don't we swap the first 4 chapters to make sure we're a good fit for each other? Message me your email and I'll send mine over if that sounds good :)
50920 Reposting from a few weeks ago as I missed a couple replies but I have my notifications on now and will respond promptly. Feel free to message me directly as well.

Blurb:

Data. Facts. Figures. Instincts. These are the things that soothe and comfort Cleo Chapman. After two rough breakups in a row, she throws herself into her marketing consulting firm, with barely a break for anything close to self care. But work is self care! Right?!...

Connor Bell will never be in a relationship ever again unless he finds someone he likes just as much as himself. Which, of course, will never happen. A surly, snobby, celebrated architect, he hasn't had a relationship in ages, and that suits him just fine. When Cleo crashes his friends' regular movie nights, weighing in with her fierce opinions and take-no-prisoners attitude, she becomes enemy #1.

Until one night, when they can't deny their attraction, and Cleo finds herself tempted by the most conceited, and handsome, man she's ever met. With a charming crew of meddling friends pushing them towards each other, and a few twists of fate, they may find out that real love can be found in the most unlikely of people.
50920 Thanks! I just replied :)

Blurb: Blake Princep was born into wealth, and never know anything different, till she is finally confronted about her mean-girl rich-bitch behavior. Resolved to change her ways, she embarks on a brand new life, driven by doing good and making a *lot* of apologies - including to Caden Shaw. A handsome comic book artist, she once insulted him as a nerd, and he didn't take it well: He's going through the biggest loss of his life, and he can't rely on the people closest to him to help him heal. Over time, Blake works her way into Caden's heart, but he doesn't know if he can accept her, or her love. As they both try to rediscover their true selves, heartbreak is just around the corner.
