50920 hi! I've got a historical romance novella set in the 1860s. My FMC is half Czech and I want to make sure I've gotten all the details right. I am, of course, happy to swap by being a beta reader myself.

Draft blurb below:
______

Theophilus Fairplace didn’t intend to wind up betrothed to a near-stranger by the end of his cousin’s house party. But after an act of kindness goes wrong, he accidentally compromises Miss Eliska Belenskova, and now he’s marrying her.

Miss Belenskova isn’t sure she wants to wed Theo. He’s an excellent kisser, but she’s wary of marriage while her inheritance is held hostage in the Prague courts.

So it really shouldn’t come to Theo’s surprise when she jilts him. Yet Theo isn’t relieved when his bride flees. He searches for her to understand what went wrong. Sparks fly when the two confess their feelings. When the journey ends in explosive tragedy, can they claim their bond to save one another’s hearts?

Hi! I'd be willing to swap, though I don't have a lot of sci fi experience. I tried to message you, but I think you may have those turned off

50920 Hello,
I've written an 80k historical romance set in late Victorian rural England. The hero's mother is a permanent wheelchair user, and I do not have that experience myself. I would really appreciate an authenticity reader to let me know how sensitively and accurately I have portrayed the side character.

Here is a Twitter pitch for the story:
DOWNTON ABBEY x Enemies to Lovers: Tables are turned when family bankruptcy forces Alys to work for the baronet, victim of her childhood bullying. They must overcome their history & growing attraction to save the village from poverty during the industrial revolution

Please PM me if interested!
50920 great! I will send it tonight

50920 Hi!
I'm looking for a beta for the first 3-4 chapters of my YA historical fantasy. Would swapping interest you?

I am not intimately familiar with either of those diagnoses, however.
50920 Hi!
I have a YA historical fantasy I'm revising. I rewrote the first 3 chapters and would love feedback to see if it works. I'm also willing to swap.
My turnaround time is the New Year (I know, with Christmas that's getting tight), because I'm preparing my ms for AuthorMentorMatch.

Pitch:
Murron, a selkie, washes onto Callum’s Orkney shore in 1746, warning of danger coming from the sea. Nature begins to unravel as storms batter Callum’s fishing village, threatening starvation and death. Together, they must defeat capricious faeries before the gales destroy Callum’s home and the faeries trap Murron under the sea forever.

50920 Hello!
I am interested in your services! Below is a twitter pitch:

DOWNTONABBEY x Enemies to Lovers: Tables are turned when family bankruptcy forces Alys to work for the baronet, victim of her childhood bullying. They must overcome their history & growing attraction to save the village from poverty during industrial revolution

It is currently 75k. I hope to finish up another round of edits around Christmas. Could I send you my ms after Christmas?

Thank you!
50920 So I've written a YA historical fantasy (92k words) set in Orkney, 18th century. And while I did all the internet research I could, there's nothing that beats local knowledge and intimate, personal experience.

I'd be happy to trade mss.

Hook for GALE: Murron, a selkie, washes onto eighteen-year-old fisherman Callum’s shore, warning of danger from the sea. Together, they must defeat vengeful faeries before deadly storms destroy Callum’s Orkney village and trap Murron under the sea forever.
