Oh, and another story that isn't your typical YA read is Jellico Road. It's a step away from the norm for sure.

I couldn't stop thinking about this book for at least two weeks after reading it and still recommend it to my friends. It isn't a typical YA read. More about, discovery that the ones we love can pressure us just as much as our peers if not more because of what they mean to us. Guilt can stop you from going where you need to. Redemption and acceptance both exist and sometimes you find love in the least expected places.
