57233 I don't feel like I'm terribly prolific. In fact, I feel like I'm rather slow. Some writers turn out a book every year. I'm hardly in that catagory.

57233 The next book will come out in 2014. It's called China Dolls.

57233 Books and films are always different. The film of Snow Flower was particularly so. Not uch I could do about it. Authors have almost zero control when it comes to Hollywood. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

57233 I really enjoyed that event too. What a beautiful building! I was awed to be there.

I'll be curious to hear what you think of the film. It's very different from the book.

I'm not exactly sure where I'll be in Florida for the next book tour. I'll have all that information up on my website sometime after the first of the year.

Again, I think it's because he's been out of town.

The film won something like the Golden Angel Award.

57233 Larry's been out of town, so he hasn't had a chance to do a contest yet.

57233 Happily I don't remember your horrible review, which is good, I hope! LOL.

I never thought of it as a radical change. I look at Snow Flower and see a classic mystery format even though it is a so-called "literary novel."

I'm so glad that I checked in here today after this Ask Lisa thing was supposed to be over. I didn't know that this would still be up to chat.

I love all of your comments and observations. While I haven't thought of writing about Ticie, I have thought a lot about writing more about my Grandma Stella and the women in her family. One of these days...

Do you mean as a novel or as an actual opera? I first envisioned the story as an opera.

Erin,

I sent your note to Wayne, and wow! I got an interesting response from him. I'd love to share it with you, but I really don't feel comfortable doing it in a public way.

I really want to thank you. Your note really meant a lot to me personally and it helped to get some things out in the open with Wayne.

I beleive I'm going to be in Dallas for the paperback tour for Dreams of Joy next Spring. I don't have the final schedule yet, but as soon as I do, I'll put it up on my GoodReads, Facebook, and my website.

I'm so glad you joined in. I've been on GoodReads for quite a while. I really like it a lot. It's a great place to hear about books and connect with other book lovers.
