I also attempted Anna Karenina...twice. Got pretty far both times, but its such a hefty read. You really have to be committed to it. I, like you, am determined to finish it someday.

61281 Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin I enjoyed this even though I don't usually like Chick Lit. I gave it 3 stars.

What was it about The Help that you found disappointing?"

Well when everyone raved about it, I had high hopes for it. But to me, it didn't ring authenticity. It seemed too sugar-coated. And honestly, I was just plain bored with it. But everyone I talked to absolutely loved it, so I am definitely in the minority. Interestingly enough, I did enjoy the movie more than the book.

Excited for you Jessica! Paradise Lost has been on my TBR list since college. I haven't gotten around to tackling it yet. I am not much for poetry so that may have something to do with it. Look forward to see how you feel about it.
