I'll be plodding along with my dusty books....nothing's changed!! Hope I read more than 30 this year tho!

So many books make me cry....but I cry a lot...even adds on TV and stupid things!!!
But the last book that made me cry and sob all through the book, was
by Danielle Steel. About her son who had manic depression and committed suicide at age 19!! So very sad!
I won't go through them all, but
by Larry McMurty was another one. I was even sobbing desperateley for a good half hour afterwards!!

Oh, and maybe my bookmarks and silver jewellery!!

Yes!~To me....if I was to be deserted on a Dessert Island and I could bring only 3 things with me....it would be Music, Books and chocolate.....I couldn't LIVE without them!!!

Hello, fellow book hoarder! I'm Pandora and I live in Sydney, Australia, and am sitting here surrounded by books, bookcases and desk....there's no more room for books in my flat!!! But I still can't seem to stop buying them....and reading them!!

I'm obsessed with Bookmarks! I have an extensive collection of them from all over the world. I love my leather ones from Hampton Court Palace, Westminster Abbey in London.. John'O'Groats in Scotland...the list goes on! One of my favourites is "Shh...I'm trying to Read", my daughter gave me for Mothers Day when she was little (She's now 26) That's what I endlessly say to people, when my nose is stuck in a book...which is most of the time!! I like using a different bookmark for each book I read!! I'll have to dig them all out and take a photo of them....get back to you on that one!

I don't know if this is the right section to ask, but I have just solved one of my problems...my books not being on my challenge page....now, in the group bookshelf it says I have read 22, when it's only been 6? Any suggestions? I've looked at everything, but can't work it out!

Suddenly, I will see them in someone's..."I've done that with quite a few of my books, therefor ending up with two copies. Oh well, I like having two different editions anyway! I'm also considering my "Grungy" books, anything I have had for years.....and that's a lot!! And the date it was published!

Same here.....if only I could stay away from Libraries, then I could get my own books read!!!! I'm doing a pretty good job of it so far, but then someone went and lent me
by John Densmore, which I'm reading now!

This is now driving me crazy. I have done all of the above and it is still not showing up!

Hello Hana. I'm 51 years old (I hate saying that these days) and I live in Australia! I love that you love trees! So do I! I have some amazing photos of them! I love stars and the moon and clouds! I could go on forever! Yes and my passion is books! I have a Library of more than 1,000 books at home! And it's my favourite place to be! Welcome!

Help! I was updating my books read -I have now read 4 - and the statistics showed that, but I clicked on something and now it states that I have read no books towards this challenge??

Just finished
Bitter is the New Black : Confessions of a Condescending, Egomaniacal, Self-Centered Smart-Ass, or Why You Should Never Carry a Prada Bag to the Unemployment Office : A Memoir by Jen Lancaster.
This isn't a book I'd normally read, but came across it in my favourite "Vinnies" second hand store, for only 50c! Couldn't go past it! I giggled all the way through it. It was very entertaining, so much so that I had to check her website out, which is
www.jennsylvania.comI've changed my "Cobweb" books to not only how long I've had them for, but to when they were published also! This one was published in 2006. Not very cobwebby, but it was a fun read! Now onto the next one, which was published in 1990.
Riders on the Storm: My Life with Jim Morrison and the Doors by John Densmore. Someone lent it to me and I think I've read it before, but I just have to refresh my memory! I have totally changed my original list....but, after all, it's a woman's perogative to change her mind! And I'll get around to all of them....I hope!!!

I'm already one of those people! I have my own Library of more than 1,000 books....all catalogued under Author Surname! In fact I'm venturing out into the world today to go to a bookstore that has a $5 sale! I bought "Les Miserables" by Victor Hugo the other day...the unabridged version, with nearly 900 pages! My live in lover bought me a Kindle E-reader this year...I have been fighting against those things for so long.....probably in the hopes that I would not buy any more books!! HA! As if that's gonna happen!!!

I love my bookshelfs (7) and am always in my little nook dusting, cataloguing and reading!! Can't wait to read another of my "cobweb" books, but to do that, I need to get off this computer!!
Denise wrote: "Hi Pandora! How are you liking Vanity Fair? That's one of my favorites!"I'm absolutely loving Vanity Fair! This is my first "Cobweb" book I'm reading for this group....I've had it on my shelf/all over the world since 1988! So, I'm glad I'm finally reading it. In fact, I only have about 33 pages left till I finish it....

Yes, I'll be in on that! I love Jane Austen. I have all her books, plus her last novel, which was unfinished, called Sandition and completed by "Another Lady"! I haven't read that one. Would love to read them all again!
