I came about Trevor's first name by a twist of events. The male model I used for our original role play is named Trevor. By chance, it's also Irish in origin. So I used it.
Cecilia came up with Cassandra because she liked the name and it seems to be a common name in Latin countries.
They both fit the story so well, it feels like they could not be anything but Trevor and Cassandra.

Here are the meanings:
Trevor is also a name of Irish origin. It is a reduced Anglicized form of Gaelic Ó Treabhair (descendant of Treabhar), a byname meaning "industrious", "tight", or "prudent".

From the Greek Κασσανδρα (Kassandra), which possibly meant "shining upon man", derived from κεκασμαι (kekasmai) "to shine" and ανηρ (aner) "man" (genitive ανδρος). In Greek myth Cassandra was a Trojan princess, the daughter of Priam and Hecuba. She was given the gift of prophecy by Apollo, but when she spurned his advances he cursed her so nobody would believe her prophecies.

We actually wrote Countermeasure and most of the series before we wrote Uncharted. It was a way to give a little more information about the story prior to Countermeasure but without ruining the development of the series. :)

Since we have a high level of technology in the books and some people might feel intimidated by it, we will be discussing some of the technology used in the books and explain them so you can have a deeper understanding and feel comfortable with the read. I am going to start by saying that the technology we describe and use in the books are not imaginary. They are existing technology used in the present. We don't make/made that up. We use our own knowledge in technology coupled with a LOT of research into anything and everything we write. The first piece of contention seems to be Echelon. It is an existing network of computers manned by a consortium formed by the US and several other countries. Echelon in made up of several super computers, satellites and a vast network that covers the whole entire planet and the purpose of Echelon is to screen digital communication for threats. It is not fantasy. The technology exists and is used 24/7. Feel free to ask any questions related to Echelon and the stories.

I understand that some people are intimidated by the presence of an author in a discussion but please know, we are avid for your opinions, be it bad or good.
We love answering questions and asking them too. As others will attest to, I am a horrible tease and will give you tidbits of information but not the full thing. Expect to be left wondering and just have a lot of fun in the process of learning more about the Countermeasure family.

Just for the record, we *do* know what happened to them. I won't spoil it because we think the revelation is still to come so it would spoil the experience but we are always curious about what readers think happened. We would love to hear your theories of what happened to them. Shoot us your thoughts, considerations, questions (we'll answer as best as we can without spoilers of anything TRWL or AC related).

Nice seeing a new face on the discussions! To Russia has been a wild ride to write. It's almost ready for release. We love hearing from readers and would like to see your opinion on the other group topics! Pop in and leave us questions or open new discussions. I am sure we will all jump in :)

I guess everybody reaches a turning point in life where the events taking place teach us lessons in humility, make us see things differently. Nate will get there.

I guess George has been left to simmer a bit because his time hasn't arrived yet. We have plans to bring his own story forward down the road.

Gotta love it! He'll get his share. It will be interesting to see how you feel about him on book 3.

Who would you cast as Trevor and Cassandra for a movie production of Countermeasure? What about Robert, George, Jessica and Stephan? We want to hear your opinions on this topic!

I am hoping Victoria will finish soon so we can talk about it.

We have a new Byte coming in a couple of months. As soon as TRWL is done. As for the baby...I will keep that in the pocket for now. I am sure Cecilia and I want to have a bit more fun with the two before parenthood happens...OR they can go globetrotting with the little one. Who knows?
